Opened an original pack today because i had some extra gold floating around (too busy laddering to spend on arena). I uncovered a Tirion Fordring in which i already have a golden version. I believe he is one of the best golden cards because after death, you get the golden Ashbringer, which looks pretty epic.
Common sense says i should disenchant the Golden for a free legendary. But its such i hard choice. i really do love a golden legendary, especially a Tirion.
Question: If you're in a canoe, paddling upstream, and all four wheels fall off, how many pancakes does it take to sand the doghouse if there's 28 frogs in the oven?
I'm not a fan of golden cards because the border looks kind of cheap (and I prefer the class colors most of the time) but there are exceptions where the golden version of a card is simply superior in every way. Tirion is certainly one of them. That golden Ashbringer looks extremely sweet and gold fits the Paladin theme well. If I ever attempt a golden deck it would be a Paladin, that's for sure.
The other superior golden Legendary is Jaraxxus. That card is already a great show, but animated? Hard to beat, would never disenchant it.
Goldens are nice, but in all honesty, you would get much more value from DE'ing the golden and crafting a great card like Boom or Sylvanas. Unless your entire collection is 90% or more, it's not really worth keeping the goldens. Just my thoughts, but if you are trying to collect goldens cards no reason to DE it.
All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible. - T. E. Lawrence
Never touch golden Tirion, like you said, he's one of the best looking golden cards in the game, plus he is a card that will likely never fall out of paladin decks, just disenchant the regular and save up another 1200 dust for one of those legendaries.

I have most of the top legendary cards, except Sneed's Old Shredder (love playing control decks), Lord Jaraxxus(dont play warlock much, but is a awesome card), Troggzor the Earthinator and Bloodmage Thalnos.
What should i do?
P.s also have a golden Mekgineer Thermaplugg which has to go. (i would play this card in a lot of decks if he was 8mana)
FossbyflopI'd say DE the normal Tirion if you like the golden one that much better. Also, you might want to create a poll.
Edit: I'm gonna link to the cards in case people are lazy.
Golden: Tirion Fordring
Regular: Tirion Fordring
