Of all the problems that currently face the game, Piloted Shredder is probably among the least of them, and that's assuming Shredder is even a problem at all, which I don't think is necessarily true.
What problems? I'm not saying the game is perfect but there are no problems with the game atm that are threatening or harmful to the experience itself. The only problem/harmful thing about this game seams to be the community that plays it.
Patron Warrior, for instance, as if that didn't go without saying. Let's not pretend like the game is perfectly balanced and absolutely flawless, please.

Patron warrior is fine though, there's nothing wrong with the deck. The only people have problems with it are either complaining because they lost a game and are raging out or don't understand how to play with/against it and the many intricacies involved with the high skill cap of the deck. It's not easy to play around from a first hand perspective but easy to play around after some experience with the deck. Honestly, patron warrior isn't even a strong deck and feels like a FOTM deck.
And yes the game is very balanced, Blizzard has an entire team of professional game designers working for 2 years now while taking very cautious angles at changing the game the few times they do (although the changes they make seam to be more out of compliance with customer anger, not balance). They know what they are doing, this is probably one of the most balanced card games ever (look at yugioh or pokemon...)
Shredder has a health of 3. The 2 drop has, on average, a health of 2. That's five health, the same as a Chillwind Yeti. Yes, it trades for two cards of lower value. But so does the yeti. I don't think it's unbalanced.
The problem isn't its health. It's attack is the main problem. 4 is too powerful for a minion whose goal is to survive one hit.
So, by that standard Chillwind Yeti is even more broken because the Shredder's attack goes down after the first hit.

Partly my fault for the derail but was responding to a comment on the comparison. Anyways shredder is fine and we can get drunk on all the whine, same with patron warrior.
Also answer to what? There is no problem, Frothing Beserker is mediocre and is only a combo piece to a deck but it hardly does much outside of it's own combo. The card is fine how it is, changing it's rarity would be silly not only for collecting the card but for arena drafts, it's really a weak card in most aspects except for very few instances. Eventually the deck will die out and people will move on to something better. Outside not playing minions and using a single good taunt, you can even play around it with snipe or flame trap as a hunter, spending all their mana on a combo will deny their ability to warsong + all the whirlwinds + patrons. Hopefully Blizzard just leaves the deck and all of the cards alone, TGT is going to shake things up. (play chillmaw if you hate patron warrior)
I have never thought once, "Man, shredder is so OP. Wish they'd nerf him." Shoot, I'm not even playing him this season and I'm currently sitting around rank 5 w/ warlock zoo.
If Piloted Shredder is ruining your experience with this game, you have a serious problem with gaming in general.
You can consciously make the choice to LEAVE or QUIT without much consequence on blizzard income at the end of the year.
That might be harsh for you to understand but Blizzard is ok (and probably utterly satisfied) with the fact that some cards are better then others. Same thing apply in real life... someone is always going to be better then you at something specific. Deal with it. Shredder offers good value over the course of many games. Same applies to many cards (Mad Scientist, Sludge Belcher, Big Game Hunter and so on).
To OP : I think this is more then a dumb thread. It's just a stupid complaint to the void (sorry If I'm harsh... but you clearly deserves this kind of rude truth if you want to learn how this game is supposed to be played).

While I agree if that is the sole reason it's negatively effecting his/her play then this game might have many more problems in store for him/her. However, this game is not an emulation of real life and that is a Naturalistic Fallacy, just because something is the way it is, doesn't mean it ought to be that way. Perhaps Blizzard is OK with not everyone being happy but I bet you they are very concern with mass public opinion swings or feed back, if enough people are frustrated and leave, they lose out on a sustainable business.
Also balance wise, while it's ok to have some varring degrees of power fluxuation, that is a terrible philosophy. Why play any of the new 4 drops if it's ok for 1 to be more power full than all the rest all the time. You might see some variety at the lower ranks but the majority of high end play will be the same cards, likely even more so if this trend continues.
It's ok to disagree but calling him stupid and wrong for voicing his/her opinion (something that is subjective) is just out of the question. I know you probably mean him/her well tough love advise but this is just non-nonsensical. People should be encouraged for sharing their ideas and opinions, we don't want an echo chamber in here. Granted your welcome to share yours as you have, but please try to be more understanding of the person you're criticizing yourself also.

Just to clarify. I did not call the OP stupid, but rather the thread in itself as a stupid complaint to the void. I don't like threads pointing out that only some kind of opinion should get displayed over something else.
It might be only that is not cursed with Piloted Shredder since the decks I'm running can't use this kind of card. I vastly prefer Twilight DrakeDefender of Argus and Voidcaller
And the new Twilight Defender might overcome Piloted Shredder in some decks that can use the Dragon synergy.
I agree that Piloted Shredder is insane in term of value. But it's not deserving a nerf.
Stop talking about grim patron in this thread, not relevant. Jesus, there is already a salt thread, yet people have to make not just one but multiple threads that are active at the same time whining about the exact same thing. Then bringing that topic into a thread that has nothing to do with it.

Just like Belcher the Shredder survives two attacks vs 1 making it superior to any other 4 drop. Killing it and seeing a 3/2 pop out is demoralizing since you've lost resources only to give your opponents creature -1/-1 in most cases.
Piloted Sky Golem (6 mana) is the in the same boat, but there seems to be more useless 4 drops than there are 2 drops in terms of stat distribution as well as it being much higher on the curve making it less accessible to popular decks.
Before these Harvest Golem was the OP 3 drop for similar reasons. These sticky cards are just "good" and theres no better decision if you've got them which is pretty lame.
Of all the problems that currently face the game, Piloted Shredder is probably among the least of them, and that's assuming Shredder is even a problem at all, which I don't think is necessarily true.

This post is so, I don't even.
Have you ever played the deck? Seen how it draws its entire deck? How it severely punishes every minion with Attack between 1-2? How it one-shots you with 50+ damage from an empty board through Taunts?
Notice how all of these are the very reasons Miracle Rogue and BuzzardHound Hunter got severely nerfed?
Make a deck that counters it. I made a deck and aggro and Patron Warriors are jokes compared to it. Easy to do. Counter the meta.. duh.

No, it isn't.
No. Get the card or don't

It's funny how a Piloted Shredder whining thread turns into yet another Grim Patron whine thread.
Again, maybe making Frothing Berserker a legendary is the answer.

Agreed. It needs to be nerfed.
My opponent gets me to waste 4 mana on a 4/3, with promises of reliable minions upon death, only to pop out Doomsayer, killing my board.
Compromise on a new deathrattle: Summon a random 2-cost minion. Silence that minion.
(really, its fine)
Shredder is fine. Learn to live with it. Great cards are fine.

*yawn*
It went dumb as soon as you said "averagely".
Not hard to get rid of. Great card.
Using your deluded stat usage...
Yeti vs Shredder...a 1v1 matchup.
4/5 into 4/3, 4/1 into ANYTHING shredder gets (even doomsayer everything is dead).
Shredder is a great sticky card like most deathrattles are. Same with Sludge (nerf that too I presume?). Same with Sky Golem (Nerf that too I guess?).
So basically, lets just nerf deathrattles of out the game since they are valued!
