Blizzard are such pussies when it comes to nerfing cards as they think it upsets new players. They are crazy. It's super easy for them to nerf something once they know it's in nearly all decks. For some reason the louder whining before they do something is more important than the post action, more limited whining from from fools that can't enjoy themselves without getting play-itself-wins with shredders, dr boom, BGH and all the other log time broken cards.
Cards end up not being played when nerfed most of the time. They should create equally good options instead, just with different effects, stats, or purposes.
Depends on the power of the effect and level of nerf though doesn't it...look at sylvanas. Lowering the shredder to 3/3 should have happened by now, it would still see play and be pretty good, but only really come into it's own in death rattle decks, the way it should be.
I'm starting to really hate this site, every time someone losses 1 game and gets salty about it they make a thread demanding a card get nerfed. OP has no idea how good/bad Piloted Shredder will be once TGT cards are added to the game.
I don't complain about it because I use piloted shredder in my decks aswell, everyone chooses 4 drops and compares it to Shredder. It effects the meta and the cards we use, its a pain. I worry it's just gonna be the staple 4 drop forever until an even better 4 drop comes.
My apologies, but this nerf idea is just stupid: "lets nerf the best 4 drop in the game because it is no fun to play it"
agree with this... true alot of people playing this minion and for sure everybody, every deck can use it, being a neutral minion, not a class minion. although some classes are benefitted more than the others.
if you do not want to use it, why do you have to cry for those who are using it?
i prefer to nerf grim patron (or the other component of the combo). Although it's neutral, only 1 class, which is warrior, can utilize it.
If people keep making those stupid "nerf it!" threads, you'll see a post asking to nerf Wisp before next year...
Funny thing is, I still don't see anyone asking for a Belcher nerf. Maybe because it's a mandatory staple in anything other than aggro...omg, nerf!
Well Belcher is basicly Goldshire footman + Senjin... the price is pretty fine... Piloted Shredder though... When you get things like Knife juggler, Millhouse, succubus, even loot hoarder and such, all off a 4-3 (which is already a 3 drop's stats), you get at least 5 mana worth of stuff, in 1 card that can be annoying to remove...
as the card pool gets bigger, shredder gets more obsolete if you think about it, there will be so many 2 drops in game that either screw you completely over or average out okay that piloted shredder will be more like deathrattle: "puts an okay minion on the field" and if you cant deal with an okay minion, well.... your deck has issues.
shredder just set the baseline of what a 4 drop should be, it is not OP by any standard
I disagree it needs a nerf, its never a card that wins you the game even if it is polarizing and beats other 4 drops. Boom has more influence and I don't even think he needs a nerf. I don't even think the new set has power creep, it's just perceived that way.. but those "power creep" versions of Booty Bay Bodyguard and Magma Rager aren't even gonna see use. If ANYTHING needs a nerf in this game it is some component of Patron Warrior. You will see much more deck diversity in TGT if you nerf either Emperor or Frothing (nerfing Patron Warrior) than changing anything about a 4 drop with a nice impact but a non-gamebreaking one. Hell Piloted isn't even in the premier deck right now (nor the second best arguably: Handlock).

People will just play the next best thing even if Shredder does get nerfed. I imagine if itdoes happen, people are just gonna play Yeti again.
And if people are calling for a Yeti nerf if this does happen, something is horribly wrong.

Patron ... gamebreaking. No comments. There are plenty of decks out there that can win quite steadily against this deck. Just watch some recent tournaments and you'll see that even ''pros'' can beat this deck with many other competitive decks (Handlock, Oil Rogue, Druid just for the games I've lastly seen, all wins in favor of the other deck (no PW)).

I think Piloted Shredder is one of the best cards in the game. It represents a lot of what we take for granted or misinterpret about this game. You might get a Millhouse Manastorm or an Ancient Watcher. To be upset over RNG, well you're playing Hearthstone, you need expect a little RNG. Is it a strong card? Indeed. Is it too strong and require nerfs? I wouldn't say that. As TGT rolls out, it's value should go down in relation to all the below average 2 drops that will be added.
Just saying Patron Warrior is a very high skill deck that requires a lot of set up. Patron is the highest skill deck out there and to nerf it is useless. Back to shredder, out of the 5 decks that i use on ladder only one uses piloted. According to hearthpwn, piloted shredder is only used in 25.86% (as of 8/16/2015, 9:00 PM) of all decks. Yes it is used a lot, but also there are 74.14% of other decks that don't run shredder. Also there is a long list of cards that counter at least the main body of shredder and a long list of cards that the shredder can drop that are terrible. Therefore Piloted Shredder does not not need a direct nerf.
Piloted Shredder need to be nerfed? Can you list me the current meta deck that are actually taking full benefit of it? Except for Mech mage and some aggro shaman and mid-range hunter. I don't see it in play. So..

Yes, in a tournament setting you can specifically counter patron because you know 90% of people are going to bring it as one of their 3 decks. The problem is on ladder you see way less diversity because of it. Right now everyone at he highest levels (I'm rank 2 this season) is playing either Patron, Aggro (to race Patron), or a specific deck to counter Patron.. That is no fun. While Patron is very difficult to play perfectly, it isn't that hard to play optimally. If it has some component nerfed, you will see many more new and interesting decks.

If Blizzard nerfs Piloted Shredder, they better nerf Flamestrike as well.

there are new 4drops coming - Twilight Guardian should be a fair contender

3/3 or cost 5 seem the best solutions to me. Either way and it would still be playable but not OP.
3/3 seems fine deathrattles op and should be costed as such.

Agreed....Shredder is just too strong...I think making it 3/3 will do so that it doesn't trade with other 4 hp minions
Lorewalker Cho needs to be gone!
What? Piloted Shredder is actually receiving a slight buff, despite one or 2 new bad cards. If you need proof read this : http://www.gosugamers.net/hearthstone/features/4405-tgt-stats-happy-shredders-and-a-very-sad-dragon

man you can not always win games with only 2 Shredders,I think it's OK.

Hearthstone...I play that.

Youtube...I have that.

Truth right here.
Do you think twice about summoning it in an aggro deck because it could get Explosive Sheep or Doomsayer? Not particularly.
Its fangs are in your flesh before its hiss leaves your ears.
