PLEASE stop this "nerf Dr. Boom" threads already its been almost a year since this topic invaded official and non official forums... Dodds said that "there are no plans to nerf boom"
7/7 7 mana summon 2 1/1 boom bots that deal 1-4 random damage KAPPA
won't balance boom is fine the other 7 mana cost minions are garbage.
IF anything would make the boom bots 0/1 so they are more anti AOE/buff bodies.
That option is very intentionally excluded from the first two questions because that is not what the questions are asking. You don't ask non-drinkers what kind of beer they like.
Keep boom bots 1/1. Give them "cannot attack" modifier like watcher.
Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
The purpose of this is mainly data collection on opinions. This isn't "OMG, NERF BOOMz NOW!1", this is asking detailed opinions, and presenting the data of those that respond.
The first two questions do not ignore people of a certain opinion; it is specifically not FOR them in the first place. Again, you don't go to an AA meeting and ask people there what their favorite beer is. The third question, however, IS specifically a place where they can be counted.
Fine, I'll phrase it another way: you don't ask people in Chicago how they like living in Atlanta.
Do you feel the third question is inadequate and why?
TO be honest the only nerfs that would be reasonable without killing his viability would be either making him summon only 1 boom bot or making him a 7/5 but keeping his effects as it is,
Softening the body would open him up to a few more removal options. Part of what makes him so effective is that while many hands may have a way to remove Boom OR neutralize/mitigate the bombs on the next turn, very few have a way to do both.
It's not what -I- would do, but its one of the options I always see bandied around.

To be honest think it all comes down to a lack of other very powerful 7drops. Just look at the 6drops for a moment to get some perspective.
Both Savannah Highmane and Mysterious Challeneger are incredibly powerful cards who can singlehandedly win games and are very hard to remove the turn after they were played.
Personally Dr. Boom's power level doesn't bother me one bit. He can be answered if you know what you're doing and at least there can only be one copy in your opponent's deck.
The third question was added to mollify those that didn't understand the purpose of the first two, or perhaps felt they were being excluded. It originally wasn't included because it wasn't part of the original purpose, as there is already a massive thread about that, and this one was intended to focus on a singular aspect without cross-talk and muddied waters, but given that this was apparently going to happen anyway, and there weren't any other polls on -that- matter to my satisfaction, I may as well have included it.
I never claimed to be a researcher, I said this was data collection. As for the phrasing of the last option on the third question, it's a pop-culture reference intended to inject levity.

why is this still a topic of conversation? anyone who doesn't know how to or just cant deal with boom at this point needs to rethink how they play the game. also its not like boom is only playable by your opponent. we all can use him.

Another day and a Boom Bot hit me in the face when there were other options it could have chosen...
I understand the point that he is almost never a bad play and that his rng has no downside to it but that doesn't mean that he is some grossly broken card in any way. knife juggler, when turn appropriate, is rarely a bad play and his rng while not always ideal, just like boom bots, has no real downside either. he puts damage on board or face every time he is procd. Is he broken like boom? the only reason no one talks about juggler is because they're are lots of 2 drop options within neutral and class sets. if there was a more diverse set of 7 drop cards within the neutral set, as opposed to nerfing the one good one that isn't designed for a specific deck type or purpose like chillmaw or geddon, i feel this issue would be non existent.
I don't think Dr. Boom needs a nerf in the first place but throw aside the balancing issues for a minute and look at it from another point of view. Sure once every couple months you have a game where double 4 damage boom bots hit your face/killed perfect minions to give your opponent exact lethal and sure it can be frustrating when it happens. But think about 10 minutes later when you're over it. Think about all of the YouTube videos and memories you have of that card. Wouldn't you rather be in a world where cards like Dr. Boom gave you those awesome/disastrous moments rather than a standard game of checkers? If Blizzard nerfs this card to the ground like people seem to want, then like any nerf the card will almost disappear altogether. I don't want to live in a world where the Boom is only rarely seen in Arena or Tavern Brawl and never in constructed.

How many days from the inception of starving buzzard til it was nerfed? Foolish to think Boom is immune, Blizzard usually takes a long time to make any change.
