No real aggro or face deck plays Dr.Boom. There are far more viable options for a lower mana cost, including Leeroy Jenkins and Arcane Golem which provide direct face damage instead of boom-bot board control.

Aggro and face aren't the same thing. Zoolock is aggro for example, and Dr. Boom is an absolute staple there.
Dr. Boom it's fine and normal if he was a class card we could consider nerf him
There is now a card comparable to Dr. Boom, Rhonin. Let us make a comparison:
You could say it is, on average, double the effect. It does however cost an additional 3 mana to use and comes on one body so it can easily be silenced, polymorphed etc. Overall, slightly better than the boom bots' deathrattle.
Overall, if Blizzard wanted to be fair with Rhonin compared to Dr. Boom they should have given him at least 6 more stats, or made his ability a battlecry.
We see then that a card that is considered fair, has a comparable (or maybe lower) impact on the board to that of a neutral minion that costs 1 less mana.
What does this tell us about the good doctor?
Boom should be lightyears behind Thaurissan on any nerf list imo. BGH is a thing, Boombots leave some damage but its a 7 mana card after all for 1 mana more you get a rag.
Yeah bgh is wonderful, you get 2 boombots that can take out ur belcher and loatheb, truly balanced. As far as emperor vs Doom that is a joke. What is the #1 legendary to craft, the legendary that is considered the most powerful by the pros? Unanimously Dr. Boom. The neutral legendary that blows away all class legendaries in addition to other neutrals.
Making bots deal damage to any random character is the most stupidest thing that I've ever heard. This make Dr.Boom unplayable.

Dr. Boom isn't even that serious. Good card for 7, no doubt, but there are so many ways to play around him. Removal is easy and his special effect will result in 8dmg to your face worst case (rarely ever happens). Justicar's effect @ 6 can be more game changing turn 7 than Boom. no one complain about her?
It takes 3 uses of a hero power for Justicar to be equal to an average 6-drop, which is why only one deck includes her. On the other hand, Dr. Boom brings more stats than the majority of 8-drops, while costing 7 mana.
How are these two cards even comparable?
I think Dr. Balanced is by far the best 7-drop, but I'm not sure he's really broken and needs to be nerfed. He's not that game changing and if there's anything I know about overpowered and nerfs, it's that something needs to be overcentralizing in order to warrant a nerf. Like I said, Dr. Balanced is the best 7-drop, but not overcentralizing. You know what's overcentralizing right now? Mysterious Challenger. Paladins are almost everywhere on the ladder. Because of this, other people run tech cards specifically for that card, like Flare. I also see more Kezan Mystics, but that's a topic for another thread :P.
Yes I'm sure you were echoing that same sentiment before undertaker was nerfed. Or starving buzzard, or leeroy, or gadzestan, etc. The game survived with those cards at its original power, did you quit the game...wait no you are still here.

It fits thematically (so much so that this is pretty much how everyone assumed it would work when it was first announced) and it doesn't make him unplayable at all. You still have a chance to get exactly the same result you would now. What is does is make him no longer be the way under-costed, never-the-wrong-answer, guaranteed instant value, often a sure tempo swing, ubiquitous OP monster he currently is.
1-4 damage on a 1/1 mech creature is easily worth 2 mana (1.5 mana for the damage considering it's random and .5 for the 1/1), nerf the damage of the boom bots and your targeting what gives boom so much value. 1-2 damage on a 1/1 mech creature cuts this down to 1 in total (.5 or less for the damage and .5 for the creature) and retains Dr.Boom's unfairness, without nerfing him into obscurity. I garentee he would see just about as much play as he does now, and people wouldn't complain about losing their yetis to the bots from time to time.
A preface, this poll is specifically for those that think Dr. Boom needs an adjustment. If you think Dr. Boom is just fine, you need not apply.
Among the suggestions I've seen include:
-Have the damage from Boom Bot explosions be truly random, in that they can potentially damage the minions and face of the one who played him.
-Make the Boom Bots 0/1
-Reduce the maximum damage from boom Bot explosions to 2 or 3
-Reduce Dr. Boom's body to 7/5 or 7/4 to make him easier to remove.
-Increase Dr. Boom's mana cost to 8 or 9
One I haven't seen mentioned, but has precedent is to give Dr. Boom a detrimental deathrattle, such as the player losing a mana crystal or taking damage.
just make it a 7/6 and let the boom bots deal 1-3 dmg is all i'm asking for, really
I'd makr him a 4/6 and bots do 2 damage
