BGH is fine. He rarely ever survives the turn after he's played. He's essentially a neutral SW:D with a higher restriction and a 4/2 body.

If you balance Boom, BGH goes away on his own.

The only people that complain about cards like Dr. Boom are the people who play FtP.  If you're going to play the game that way, then these are the consequences you will have to suffer with.  I hear this kind of talk all the time from a friend who plays FtP.  He complains all the time about cards that he doesn't have that beat him and I keep telling him, "Well, if you're going to not buy packs and keep up with the game, then this is what you have to deal with."  You should be happy there are even free ways to get packs.  You can't do that in any other card game.  I mean, if you're playing MTG, I doubt that if you win a game, they will send you a free pack in the mail.

Yes that is why pros who have all the cards complain about Boom as well.  Also ur argument seems to be u want the game to be pay to win, which is bad business for a FtP game.  Bad for competitive gaming in general.

Oh yeah, and I have boom, btw...doesn't change how stupid he is.  He does represent a tremendous have, have not advantage...more than any other card, so maybe people enjoy facing handicapped people.  

I always thought the Boombots should deal their damage to a random character, not just enemy characters. Increasing the cost to 8 might be an effective nerf too though.

I don't really care either way. He's played in a lot of decks but so are Ragnaros and Sylvanas and I don't see any incoming nerfs for them. Dr.Boom is usually pretty easy for me to counter if I'm already winning. Even if I'm losing Dr.Boom usually isn't the biggest threat the enemy has on the board. Just my thoughts on the topic.

I own Dr. Boom since the first week of GvG, and i already owned BGH, yet i still hate the fact that when i'm building a deck i pretty much have to lose two slots for those two cards unless i want my deck to be less competitive.
The card is forcing people to run it, forcing people to run BGH and thus limiting deck design space. That is the reason it needs to get addressed, not some FtP whine.

Big Game Hunter was a scarcely played card, even in a world where Giants were already playable. He mostly appeared in druid decks due to their lack of hard removal and sometimes (very rarely) in a few other decks whenever the meta became too control-heavy. Then one day, Dr. Boom came to our lives, and ever since BGH is an auto-include, turning your dragons, demons and whatnot into useless waste of mana that should not be included in competitive lists... Yeah, Blizzard should just make wisps 0/1s. Then finally the game would be balanced.

Why not boom bots : "At the start of your turn deal 1-4 damage to a random enemy".

I think the more important point to remember is about these OP cards making the game less diverse and more of a bore to see every 4/5 games.

To be competitive at a certain level, you are almost forced to use these. I'm not complaining due to lack of owning them, I have almost every card in the game, I am saying, it gets dull for new players and those who started day one and hit Legendary every month.

Does anyone think Boom will ever get nerfed?  I'm starting to think that's not going to happen.  I've got my gold Boom and 3 regular Booms which is the only card I've hung onto in case of a nerf, but I'm starting to think about dusting the 3 Booms for making other Golden cards I'm looking to make.  Love to hear the latest thoughts on this.  Thanks.

That card literally disappeared from the game after the nerf...

I agree Sylvanas and Leeroy Jenkins were nerfed fine.  Undertaker was destroyed as well as the death rattle deck type that came from him, Auctioneer....is also almost never seen now.  Buzzard is the worst of all, it is complete garbage and been nerfed right out of the game.

Considering how careful they are about nerfing cards, I would figure they would do more extensive testing and careful planning.  

 maybe just release better legendaries so that dr.boom doesn't need to be nerfed.
