..what if Boom's body was buffed to compensate (to say, 7/9)? ..or if the bots were random to everything except Boom himself?

There is no doubt that Dr. Boom is the most powerful legendary in the game, and most likely the best card as well.  I mean hunter decks other than face even run him.  There is no counter to him, there is only one play against him in which you don't lose out and it is priest only.  Mass dispel (priest only) followed by Big Game hunter.  The boom bots kill off BGH next turn, so that is the best play and you get an even trade.  Well you can also do Shadow madness, run a boombot into a boombot, then use BGH.  In every other scenario you lose out badly.  

It is fine if people don't think Boom needs to be nerfed, but if he isn't, nothing should be nerfed.

The correct way to counter Dr Boom to play your own Dr Boom first!

Boom is better because of the current meta. At some situations Ragnaros or Ysera can be a lot more game winning cards.

Would love to see them make Dr. Boom into the "Maddest Bomber" minion. Since the card does say "WARNING: Bots may explode", they should make it literal.

No its doesn't need to be nerfed atm or anytime soon because many people have been saving up dust for this card and want to put it in the deck so it would be totally unfair if blizz did this.. So no and yes I know they would get their dust back if they did nerf it.. In any case it would just suck..  

Honestly, the game just needs more powerful neutral seven drops other than boom. As it stands right now there aren't many that can compete with doctor boom whereas at most lower costs there's a fair volume of competition.

At 6 you tend to see Sylvanas, Thaurissan, the occasional piloted sky golem, savannah highmane, shieldmaiden, fire elemental and cabal shadow priest.

At 5 you have Loatheb, Healbot, Sludge Belcher, Azure Drake, Fel reaver, Patron, Harrison, Doomguard, Voljin, Quartermaster and Druid of the Claw.

At 7, it's sort of dr. boom, ancient of lore, ancient of war, antonidas and baron geddon. Baron Geddon doesn't make sense in a lot of different decks. That leaves Dr. Boom as the only generalist neutral 7 drop in the game. Troggzor has potential but the problem is that he's too easy to remove without spells. Even if you spend 1 spell to remove him he basically ends up being a seven mana cairne.

I never understood why they gave him 2 bots WITH extremely useful effects and a full body. 

Not only can this thing come out one T6 or earlier for Druid, but even if you BGH him you have a chance of losing your board to the bots which initially deal 1 damage in combat and another 1-4 non.. Every time i play this card i know for a fact that i am in a good position no matter what my opponent does on the following turn. No other card does this for me, not even Tirion and yeah it feels damn good playing him.

I think in the end i am mostly against his full 7/7 body, (as a GOBLIN) where creatures like Illidan got screwed with 5HP even though hes a demi-god-demon overlord from the depts of hell with a smelly ability..

I am not saying "a deck is built around it" what I am saying is probably a lot of people are saving up for the card . ok imagine this so if you didn't have the card and where saving up for it for ages because you know its in every deck.. and it is you know it.. you finally had enough for it   oh  wait its been nerfed  its worthless now. Would you not be a bit annoyed?  Its gone after all that waiting other people get to piss you off with it but when its your turn to get the card its gone!

 Its not that annoying ok the bot cards  are so-so but, There is a lot of cards that can deal with it  BGH and the MCT card or  many of the spell cards from all the  classes  so I say just leave it.

oh and by the way I'm sure there is a lot of decks out there  That if you take DR Boom out of it. It would  ruin the deck.

Seriously can we stop talking about this?  I personally have no issues with this card.  I have faced many more annoying decks and cards.  I have yet to see Boom be a total game winner.  He tends to seal a victory, but usually I find the person who drops him is usually on their way to a win anyways, and I've seen him neutralized effectively.  Like many other cards its all up to the RNG.  If we nerf him why not nerf all other powerful RNG.  I had a game where I had 5 minions out and 8 health, and lo and behold rag RNG hit me.  Do I think because I had a bad case of RNG that rag should be nerfed, no.  Same with boom, more often I've seen the bots be useless and boom bgh'ed,

..and -I've- personally seen Boom change a losing position to a winning one more often than not

He is strong enough to coerce most decks to play a hard counter just for him.  The average dmg of the bombs is just to high. Of course we all have seen the bombs hitting 1 life minions for 4 or the face for only 1 dmg. But on average they are to strong,

to nerv their deathrattle dmg to  0-3 or 0-4 dmg wouldn't make Dr. Boom a bad card, but putting things a bit more in order, compared to the other 7 drops and many 8 drops.

They *might* nerf the bots to 1-3 damage, but that'd be IT I reckon. I'm seeing him a lot less these days, he's very good, but I don't think he's OP and I suspect Blizz are fine with him where he is.

so your argument is that since one class (out of nine) only has to spend 2 mana and two (of their most important tech) cards to get a clear and -maybe- only take 2 dmg, Dr. Boom is easily removed in general?

..so you don't think its a wee bit problematic that in most instances it takes a -combo- to clear this one card.. and you STILL take 2-8 dmg?

The only other minion I can think of offhand with that level of stickiness and residual effect is Tirion

He would be GARBAGE at that point and not played. The fact the bots do SUCH random damage means that they are fairly unreliable.

His main power is that he generates 3 minions for the price of one and that one is a big threat while the others have (unreliable but useful) deathrattles.

Yes I do but you have to  -combo- most death rattle cards and since its a legendary card it deserves it..

 deal with it...

comboing other deathrattles usually nullifies their effect...

with Boom, you need a combo just to -clear- it.. and STILL suffer the effect
