So as I was trying to put together a casual pirate deck, it got me thinking, if Blizzard took Edwin VanCleef and updated him to be a pirate (as he is in the lore and WoW encounter), would it make the Rogue Pirate deck actually playable? It would definitely be an improvement, and give the deck a bonafide finisher. What about Defias Ringleader? Or was the rest of the Defias brotherhood too much of a gang and not enough pirate?
This is actually one of the most productively accurate "fix this card" threads I've seen. I'd love to see some Van Cleef pirate stuff. It would make a bunch more currently existing pirate cards better, too, without doing anything to em. Then you could Captain's parrot to fetch Van Cleef! Only problem being GETTING that parrot would suddenly be harder, and as much as pirates are a rogue deck now by preference, it would become rogues only by logical necessity. Still be fun, though.

Edwin VanCleef was an engineer as i remember. Not a pirate at all.
I bring life and pffffffffffffff!

Well in WoW his boss battle did take place on a pirate ship, so making him a pirate would be reasonable.
I don't know if it'll make the deck more playable, but it would be a fun sort of addition to VanCleff's usefulness. LET THERE BE PIRATES!
