Ooze and amani berserker already are better then bloodfen raptor and river croc. It is a blizzard philosophy that beasts have to be worst then other cards, or was, no idea. At least they're being coherent there.
The Harvest Golem is mechanical. Lol, like I can't explain it much further besides pointing out one is a rock and the other is a system of gears and levies.

Bloodfen and river croc have tribal synergy, so they aren't strictly worse then Amani and Ooze. A hunter, or a ...Cough Beast druid Cough... would usually prefer the beast synergy over the enrage / anti weapon effect.
When a card is strictly better then its predecessors its bad. A lot of people mentioned that it weakens the position of F2P players, but that is only natural with the card pool expanding. The main problem though, is that higher impact cards will lead to faster games that are more easilly decided. Lets say that the average Hearthstone game right now is decided in 12 turns. If cards like Dr. Boom keep coming out then it might be that games will be decided in 10 turns, and then 8, and then 7. In the end, you get the biggest hard counter fest with no come-back possibilities. This is imo the main issue that power creep brings to TCGs in the long run.
That was exactly his point. Gnomeregan is better than Silverback except for the beast status, but there is precedent saying that it's okay for a beast to be inferior to a non-beast solely because of beast status.
I think the reason this is an issue is because if it isn't addressed now, what stop blizzard from doing this again, but to rare cards, to epic cards etc. What if there was a mountain giant that was called earth giant instead and the only difference between the two was that earth giant was a 9/9 thats it no other difference. Eventually it could happen thus leading to even less accessible content for f2p.
that doesn't make any damn SENSE and that isn't what happened in the case of boom vs. war golem. did you miss the last thing i said to you? not every card has to be viable. they really really don't. if you believe they do i can't help the way your mind works. that whole molten giant, but 9/9 isn't going to happen. it just isn't.
A lot of the matter on "non-viable" cards is also that there really are some cards that are useful, but only in particular situations.
For example, hardly anyone runs Mogu'shan Warden, but with Hobgoblin now a thing, it makes it more viable. You may have a deck that really relies on just having tons of big stuff on the board, in which case War Golem may actually work.
Also, realize that there are lots of f2p players in Hearthstone! They very well may enjoy having a big beast like the Golem without having to pay/grind/craft for a Rag or Dr. Boom.

Really it's two different discussions; nerfing or buffing one card doesn't mean another has to be changed, as the cards are evaluated against the entire set, not just against each other. Clearly War Golem is never going to buffed, and there's no reason to. If you make it as good as Dr. Boom, then players will just play them together, or switch the Doctor out for two copies of War Golem. If the problem is Dr. Boom, then you deal with Dr. Boom, not some other 7-drop, particularly one that's not legendary. War Golem's really around to give new players a lesson on why it's a worse card than Boulderfist Ogre due to stats per mana cost.
As for Dr. Boom, it's not like there can't be awesome cards in the game. If he's not at the top, then some other card will be. The question comes down to whether he's just so overwhelmingly powerful that he's warping the meta to account for his existence. On one hand, IMO he's popular because there's so few other 7-drops that can even be in consideration to use. On the other hand, I do think there might be some legitimate concern about him being too swingy due to how much damage those bots can do in addition to the stats. Sure, it's random, but on average you're going to get 5 points of random damage between two bots that synergize with Undertaker and mech play, plus the 9/9 in stats, which is a huge amount of value for 7 mana. Were Blizzard to modify Dr. Boom, I'd guess they'd keep him at 7 mana but look to shave off some health from his hiney, make him a 7/6 or 7/5, which puts him in range of burn removal and midrange creatures so he's easier to manage. I'd hate to have them bump the cost up to 8 and make that slot even more crowded with good cards.
Because of the beast status Gnomeregan Infantry is not better than Silverback Patriarch. While War Golem is a blank 7/7 without mech-status or other things while Dr. Boom is a 7/7 + 2 1-5/1 with 2 deathrattles and mech-status.
It could be so simple: War Golem gets a new stat (for the future) elemental, get buffed to 7/8 and Battlecry: Knockout an minion (enemy minion gets zzz-status for the next round; does not work on charge-minions). And about Dr. Boom: He would be balanced if he gains if he loses 1-2 health. A 7/6 or 7/5 would be ok compared to the 7/7 now.

My comments refer mostly to the wild format.
it's a non issue. dr. boom has loathebitus right now. give it a season or so and it'll see about as much play as loatheb has now.
