If you simply play Saronite Chain Gang and then Velen, Leader of the Exiled you get an infinitely resurrecting 7/7 taunt. Most reno lists are now putting these two cards in their deck to single-handedly win many matchups. If you have no transform, silence or steal effect in your deck you simply lose the game on the spot because of an infinite taunt. The only wild decks that usually have these effects are reno lists or shaman (devolve).
My question is do you guys think this is fine or fair? It really doesn't feel very good to get checkmated and blocked out of the game because of one weird interaction, and it's much faster than getting Rommath/Shudderwock locked out of the game. Perhaps saronite needs to be reworded to "Summon a 2/3 Taunt (Improved by this minion's stats!)" or something?
It's fine. It's very good against aggro. They could tech their line up so it can get past Velen. We have to tech our line ups to deal with aggro + combo. I understand it can be frustrating to be on the end of but most of the decks that struggle to get past it are shadow priest + Libram paladin and if you're one of those, just tech against it. They definitely shouldn't take it away because it could easily be in the form of something else. I also don't think it's a huge issue because the best Reno deck right now in Reno Paladin isn't even playing it and the best 2 decks are not running it. It only becomes oppressive imo if they start printing other Draenei but then that's 3 cards out of 40 cards.
As for lower ranks because that's important too, silence and steal cards (a lot of them are bad and over costed) are actually quite popular among new players because they see it as a very powerful mechanic.
It'll be very interesting to see what happens to Reno the hero because if we end up in another meta where Reno Druid, Reno Shaman and Reno Paladin are dominant I'm genuinely not sure you even run the combo in any of those decks. The meta is super fast at the moment which isn't what it was like last expansion.
Simple answer: tech for it. If there is a prevailing or dominant strategy in the meta then adjust your deck to counter it. As a previous post said, many decks have to tech to counter agro and combo strategies and this situation is no different. There are options.

This Combo is way to powerfull and sucks when you play with a good deck and run into this.... Grrr

It's inevitably going to be nerfed. It utterly shuts down board based decks, unless your opponent can devolve or poof Velen.
Saronite will be changed to only summon another saronite.
I agree that they might shut that down eventually.
Or silence, which is universally available. Just tech for it. Can’t always run 30/40 perfect cards. So many ways to deal with it in wild.
