I have seen Wildpaw Gnoll played so often even though my opponent hasen't added a single non Rouge class card or Double Agent trigger its battlecry effect without a single non Rouge class card in hand. Why is thtat?
no, that card says "You start the game as a different class..." so until that effect is triggered i get it but after you are Rouge again so the discounts should only be there for non rouge class cards but this ins't the case either....
Ok, that makes sense but that's simply stupid. So you start as a different class become rouge turn 1 or 2 and every non rouge class you add and every rouge class you draw discounts it?
Every rogue card you draw until you play a rogue card discounts Wildpaw Gnoll if you have maestra in your deck. After you play a rogue card and reveal that you are a rogue deck, every non-rogue card discounts wildpaw gnoll. This is why secret passage made this interaction so nutty and needing a nerf in the first place, turn 1 0-cost gnolls. At least you have to wait until turn three for free rush 4/5’s now…
This is also the same for double agent, if you haven’t played a rogue card yet and have a rogue card, including double agent, you can play it for two 3/3’s and reveal you are a rogue. After you play a rogue card, you need to be holding a non-rogue card to activate it.

Yes, quite stupid. They realized how dumb it was, nerfed it (without changing the dumb interaction), then un-nerfed it out of laziness instead of thinking of a creative buff for Rogue. HOF sequence of bad decisions.

Sure it's not your typical burgle synergy but stupid? Sounds more like somebody is annoyed that they couldn't figure out the interaction on their own. That gnoll is over tuned is another thing

I don't get those interactions
The discount ticks are static, not dynamic checks like Mountain Giant. It's permanent once you get a discount tick, regardless of what class you change back to.

Can someone explain to me how Wildpaw Gnoll and Double Agent work?

Maestra of the Masquerade
You are not a rogue while you are another class => discounts + trigger agent

Wildpaw Gnoll wording is bad. It's actually "for each card you added THIS GAME". And drawing a rogue card while in Maestra count as an "add"

only every rogue card at the start
Every rogue card you draw until you play a rogue card discounts Wildpaw Gnoll if you have maestra in your deck. I came to explain but I can see it was done so above. Also cant stand the way you spell rogue lmao GL friend :p

it is easy
1.because of maestra you become another class until you play rogue card.
2. Every rogue card you draw or in your hand is from another class
3. so since Double Agent is a rogue card it is itself counted as a card from another class also wording of it is really clean to.
4.For Wildpaw Gnoll it is same you draw rogue cards so it gets discount since it is from another class.
They nerfed it because of the interaction with Secret Passage. They unnerfed it because Secret Passage rotated. It's not that bad.
lol welcome to hearthstone...

can we please stop calling it a color. its Rogue, not Rouge (red)

Another one that can't make the difference between 'rouge' and 'rogue'.
My eyes bleed.
I'm critically injured.
No viable priest around.
I'm dead.

@grammar nazis, don't you have anything better to do than going to this thread and looking for typos?
Couldn't that problem be simply fixed by changing the text to "every non rogue card"?
That's the only point to play Maestra so please no. Beside, Thief Rogue is not even that strong.
