If playing a priest deck, if the opponent silences your Elwynn boars before they die, they still seem to count towards the condition for getting the 15/3 weapon. How does this make sense? Also, the priest spell that resurrects deathrattle minons also raises minions who were silenced and then killed. This also doesn’t appear to make sense; it seems like an arbitrary decision that goes against what you’d expect based on the rest of the rules of the game.

Elwynn boars deathrattle states that you will get the Sword of a Thousand Truths if you had 7 boars die that game. So if you silence them and kill them, they still die and correctly increase the number of boars that died.
If you silence the last boar after 7 boars died and kill it, then yes - Sword condition will not trigger.
Elwynn Boar's effect makes it very clear what it cares about: It's not its Deathrattle triggering, but you having minions of the name "Elwynn Boar" die this game. This means:
Silenced Elwynn Boars do count towards the Sword, as the minion's name is not removed as part of Silence. However, if 7 Elwynn Boar died this game and you kill a Silenced Elwynn Boar, it does not give the Sword because the Deathrattle is the part that gives you the sword.
Effects that give the Deathrattle to other minions, or trigger the Deathrattle without killing Boars, like Tamsin's Phylactery, Xyrella, the Devout, or Necrium Vialdo not contribute to the sword. However, if 7 Elwynn Boar already died this game, then this effect can give you the Sword.
Transforming an Elwynn Boar does not contribute to the sword, as it's no longer an Elwynn Boar.
Countering an Elwynn Boar with Blademaster Okani or Poofing it with The Amazing Reno's Battlecry does not contribute to the Sword as the Boar was removed from play without killing it.
Also, most Deathrattle synergy effects look for minions which naturally have Deathrattles. Whether or not the Deathrattle actually went off is irrelevant. It doesn't count minions given Deathrattles through card effects like Tamsin's Phylactery or Libram of Wisdom.
On a side note, considering you've received your answer half a dozen times, I fucking hate that priest deck. I never face it, ever. Then I wanna play a meme deck or some random (probably bad) idea I have and then it's everywhere
Love the reference of the card, but despise the card itself. Return it to the forbidden memory stick from whence it came!

honestly (and perhaps oddly), I find it the least offensive priest deck to go up against. I'll take Boar Priest any day over Razakus, Shadow Aggro, Big (which is 80% of the damn priests you see in Wild), Questline, Xyrella, Thievey, Dragon, etc, etc
Honestly, Boar Priest was never supposed to be a meta deck. The boar was printed together with a neutral guy that can shuffle 3/3 copies of a beast into your deck and it was supposed to be a hard to achieve meme. And then Amulet is printed in the mini-set soon thereafter, which is intended as a late-game payoff card for Big Priest decks as it is very slow in upgrading with Priest lacking draw.
And now in the latest expansion Priest gets a lot of draw and all of the sudden Boars + Amulets lead to a very consistent 'pseudo-OTK' deck that is slowly becoming a meta player as it was never intended to be....

Minions that weren't transformed or "poofed" by Reno are going to graveyard after death no matter what buffs or debuffs they had.

This mechanic has been around since Stalagg and Feugen.
Well, if you read the card slowly youl nottice that it has full sense, its just reading the card

If a minion has been silenced and then dies, it has still died.
