I have been playing Hearthstone since beta. The most brutally insufferable deck of all time has to be machine gun priest. Fast forward to today. Someone thought it would be a good idea to make machine gun hunter which is much faster… why on earth?!

My favorite deck of all time has to have been Razakus Highlander machine gun shadow reaper priest. Quest hunter is one of the few hunter decks that is actually fun.

Because it’s not even the best deck in the game, not even top 5 in standard?
Quest hunter is “faster” to get online, but doesn’t have near the sustain priest had. Priests also triggered from ANY card played, not just spells.

This is a load of turds.
I am not a fan of Quest Hunter, but I got bored of other decks and decided to terrorize Standard with Defend the Dwarven District in the last day.
In numerous games (20?) I am undefeated with 1 loss to a Pirate Warrior.
There was a Druid who I got to 9 health and he played Reno Jackson and said "Well Played". My next turn, I killed both his 5/5 and Reno Jackson and reduced his health from 30 to 11 and killed him the next turn.
Quest Hunter is degenerate with Dragon's Bane shot in particular, but Hunter also has more draw than ever with Furious Howl and a number of discover cards.
A Quest Hunter's deck is almost all spells. In wild, if I play Questline Hunter the deck I use has no minions except Bloodmage Thalnos.
Why I am playing Questline Hunter when I think the deck is degenerate? Because the fact that they haven't nerfed it is comedy.
Hearthstone cards today are all minion hate --- removal, silence, rush, destroy. And they keep giving Mage and Druid 0 mana stuff or massive mana cheat, but I find it funny to play Questline Hunter because those decks need enemy minions to target. Does something have rush if the opponent never plays a minion? Freeze my minions? What minions?
Quest Hunter is the most uninteractive deck ever in HS history to me. All they do is face, can't be more true to any other classes but Hunter.. They should have made the Quest spell requirements and hero power to deal dmg to the board instead of the face, but they'd rather go with the board-uninteractive way..

Love this statement. There really is WAY too much removal. This is what everybody talks about when they say that want to see more board interaction. I too I have been moving more towards decks that frustrate minion removal. Like deathrattle decks are great for some good comedy.
Its true, deck is super busted just climbed from diamond 4 to legend with a win rate of 16-4. Tbh i was never a hunter player and I'm having a blast with it now haha. GL
Well, I have 100% winrate vs this deck (as quest druid) and this is only reason why i got legend because I met them too often. But hunter's quest is unfair unyway.

Hey, same! Or at least on of my favorites, the game peaked around Un'goro lMO. I just really liked shadowreaper anduin. The other hunter deck I really enjoyed was spell hunter with deathstalker rexxar, so me liking quest hunter was a give in. Honestly though, I did like the death knight's decks better than quest hunter.
Why does everyone who comes here to complain about something start with this? Dude, nobody cares.
Because people like OP want to feel important. In reality, they just prove that they're addicted and can't control themselves, and Blizzard can safely mind their own business.
Any 'the problem with X deck these days' is just down to the amount of draw that has been added to the game. At one point quest hunter would have run out of fuel by turn 6/7 so many decks would have just survived it. Pirate quest pretty much draws at least one useable card a turn. I don't know if blizz felt having an empty hand felt worse than losing to decks being able to complete their objectives far too easily, but that's where we are.
Not a complaint though, the latest expansion is the most enjoyment I've had from the game for at least 2 years.
Not at all. It’s just to show I have a long understanding of the game and have seen every meta. No point in being rude.
People seem to be missing my point. This deck type was toxic before. Why print it again? I also can’t believe they put it in hunter of all classes and in a quest which is drawn every game.
Modern hearthsone is all about huge power spikes and outright win conditions...shit loads of them. They are nearly all busted and uncounterable. Quest hunter allows hunter to keep up in the traditional hunter way, with lots of face and chip damage. It feels super unfair because it is, but it's designed to counter balance a lot of other super unfair shit.

Are you me? Rhok’delar in spell hunter was the peak of hunter. I also liked mindblast priest before blizz decided that Velen was too strong, face damage was too strong, resurrection was too strong, and shadow priest should be an aggro deck.
Current quest hunter is interesting because I keep hearing it is an aggro deck, but I get best results from running creature focused cards in it like deadly shot. It seems that there is plenty of damage spells to run and no need for drek’thar and slitherspears, so naturally minion removal and spell generation are better than minions that come down before the quest is finished and aren’t as efficient at ending the game after the quest is done.
Also Miststalker was a great general before edh was bad.
Indeed. I haven't played it much this expansion, but I have fond memories of quest hunter vs token druid where I managed to keep the field clear by throw spells and hero powers at it. Eventually they just give up once they're out of steam! The deck just feels more fun to play slower, more controlly and less combo or aggro. Then again, I just like longer games.

Just a quick question. Do you guys run Drek'thar In your decks? What about naval mines? Neat addition id guess. I run em, and doing pretty nicely
Because people like OP want to feel important. In reality, they just prove that they're addicted and can't control themselves, and Blizzard can safely mind their own business.
I run drek but no mines. I use two treasure guards and two vipers and Raj but neat idea with mines
Piercing shotting your naval already does 8 damage to face. Also good target for dragonbane shot

You can tell how hearthpwn is just riddled with bronze players. “Loaded with minion hate.”
Let’s follow data, not emotion. The top performing decks prepatch were:
Demon hunter
Pirate warrior
Druid
Druid was the only one that didn’t literally just push tempo. At least not in the traditional sense as they’d abuse ramp then have bomb turns later.
But pirate warrior and demon hunter, the two top decks, both were minion/heavy board based decks.
