I'm of the opinion that Kazakusan is a win condition for a dragon deck, not for an all-spell deck or for any deck that draws itself into fatigue. So I am fine with this and will keep the card.
Wow, these comments are idiotic. I shouldn't be surprised.
Kazakusan is emblematic of the "printing a neutral that is actually just for one class" problem. OP is correct. Getting Kazakusan, an expensive endgame card, out on the board when your opponent has anywhere between half to a third of the mana you do is the problem.
Ramp druids are still able to have 2 turns worth of mana in one go for the entire game, with or without kazakusan.
I dunno, most of the druid decks already runs the new onyxia and I reckon the 2 miracle growths could be swapped for malygos for the draw replacement and ysera for a cheap sap, aoe and the 4th dragon.
i don’t think they merged at all, but instead made it a worthwhile card tht many many decks can now play. Great change because now it isn’t limited to 1 or 2 decks
They should just delete this stupid card. Games are over once it's played. It is horrible to lose against. Blizzard's sad attempt to make their shitty duels game have a presence in standard.
Oof, ratiod hard by the first reply. Goes to show you are the one in the wrong. Kazakusan was a big problem in druid way before most of the cards you mentioned even existed. A deck of treasures always beats a deck of non-treasures. And yeah, druids will just have to add 2 amalgams to their deck. That's all. Makes the deck a bit worse, but not by a huge margin.
The treasures are insane, so the requirements should also be insane. If it was up to me I'd keep the "only dragons in your deck requirement" AND added the need to play other (haven't decided how many) dragons beforehand.
Druid's bullcrap was very, very high even before Kaz was played. They had 3 or 4 rounds of all-ins, so when those all-ins fail, they should've lost the game, but NOOOOOO. Here comes Kazakusan on top of that. I hope this heavily hinders their consistency, but I can see it still being a problem, even with this text.
LMAOOOO this is the content I come to this forum for, made me laugh so much. Noob druid tears always taste the saltest nomnom.
The problem with Kazakusan (post first nerf, locusts was just OP) is that no other class could play it nearly as fast or consistently as Druid. Being the ultimate control wincon available in standard, that meant no other class could ever hope to succeed against it if the game goes late, except combo (which doesnt exist rn).
THE RECENT NERF CHANGES EVERYTHING.
Now Paladin, Warrior and Priest are far better Kazakusan classes cuz they have great dragon support while Druid has none, meaning DRUID NO LONGER HOLDS THE MONOPOLY OVER THE LATE GAME. They can still play Kaz, but it wont be active as fast as in the classes I mentioned.
This is the smartest nerf I've seen from Team 5 in YEARS. Very well done on their part honestly.
Honestly, I think the change isn't even enough. Kazakusan would be even cooler and better if the text was: Battlecry: Transform all of your dragons in your deck into random treasures. It'd make the card a lot more fun and balanced and treat it like it should be: a wacky fun card, which is what the devs were probably going for when they designed it. This nerf they're doing is actually the smartest way I've ever seen them nerf a card.
yea sure play two useless amalgams that discover nothing which cant trade into mechs and pirates, or 9/9 plant tokens and 8/8 nagas turn 2-3-4. Good luck with that silver gameplay.
Theres more here then "if its just anti fatigue". I never said that was it's purpose. It's purpose isn't why the card is nerfed. It's nerfed because BLUE TEXT said Druid was broken, therefore Kazakusan needs to change. You avoid that point
One CAN NOT play 4 dragons and be competitive against Demon Hunter Nagas, Ramp druids, Quest Pirates, Mech Mages and Paladins. You play an Amalgam turn 2-4 you're losing a turn and playing an uphill battle from there on.
The only obnoxious thing is people posting in ignorance, and selectively blabbling about shit that does not explain Kazakusan's nerf and it's reasoning behind destroying the card competitively.
They blamed DRUID for Kazakusan in their own words. Talk about that.
tldr. they nerfed Kazakusan when the real offender is Wildheart Guff. they nerf Pufferfist and you now have to play 1 (omegalul) more pirate to get the quest done, when the real offender is the Juggernaut and ridiculous infinite endgame value for just playing an aggro deck.
Seriously, anything that decreases the number of druids in Hearthstone is good and desirable. It's been since its very conception one of the most annoying classes ever made. Remember "can't leave anything alive else I die to FoN Savage Roar"? Or "lets fight 12/12 jade golems by turn 7?" or "can't leave anything alive else I die of Arbor Up while opponent spawns minions like they are zerglings"? Or the actual "I don't give a fuck, I have 20 mana and I can poop 8/8 and 22/22 taunts with rush and divine shield, then Kazakusan just for giggles"
At this point I don't even care if the card edit is bad or not, wich, for the record, isn't.

Quest hunter needs to go away.

Being able to positively shift ones perspective with change is a tool most people never learn.
I mentioned something ongoing the lines of this for dragon priest too. Cheers

With this change other classes (that dont have healing or armor) can actually have a taste of kazakusan now. its an decent change
Totally not a Druid player's Salt post.

This...someone with actually a fkin brain
Nonsense baby rage.
The card is still completly fine if your deck is built around it, as it should be even from the original text. Also prevents you from fatigue anyways.
I am not going to say OP is right or wrong but 95% of the replies didnt read the post and called him a salty druid player LOL.
the OP love kazakusan but hate druid and is sad to see kazakusan nerfed because kaza is OP when druid has too much mana wich I think is true.
In short OP wanted druid ramp and/or guff nerfed instead of kaza so he could play kaza in warrior.

that's hearthstone.
remember when they nerfed a bunch of base set spells like 4 mana Equality and 2 mana Cold Blood because they had to print the atrocities Genn Greymane and Baku the Mooneater?
nothing new in hearthstone land.
Equality was broken in even and otk shirvallah ladin, it get unnerf, but cold blood played in odd and miracle rogue nope.
