I can’t believe this hasn’t been hotfixed or disabled. I’ve played 4 priest today and all 4 had it turn 3/4. I understand that it’s only a 50% win rate doesn’t change what it does to the game
no its definately switcheroo the card is absolutely broken highroll bullshit. if not darkness then it will be deathwing, etc. minions have stats for a reason according to their mana cost.
I even played many games with it and I gotta say it has zero interactivity. you drew the spell and not the minions? you win, most likely. if not or somehow those minions die, you lose. it is basically turns the games into a coin flip.
20/20 charge in wild are definitely terrible.TWO 12/12’ w/rush in standard on t-3 is honestly just as bad. It’s outrageous this made it to live servers.
The best solution i've seen for it is to add a check if there are minions in the deck to resolve the issue. This solves the various ways to game the card like darkness/new rush murloc
As for the wild double charge play, the only thing that comes to mind as a good counter are secrets. Potion of Polymorph stops the combo dead, unless they generate a minion from a spell. Misdirection too, if you are lucky. Oh, and Sudden Betrayal. Otherwise, there are plenty of secrets that let you "survive" the immediate death with 10 health left: explosive trap, freezing trap, evasion, vaporize, ice block, and noble sacrifice, and eye for an eye if you get them below 20.
But yeah, despite all that I don't think it is a good combo for wild, but I hope they don't nerf the one standard card in this 4 card combo. Yes I am still bitter about Hysteria.
Yeah, they printed neutral mass silence and people can’t figure out how to stop losing to switcheroo
"Priest has switcheroo on turn 3 and you don't have starfish, you lose" or "Priest has switcheroo on turn 3 and you have starfish, automatic win and priest concedes" I'm sorry but is this what qualifies as an exciting card game now? I don't think these coinflip "does he have it or automatic win" scenarios are fun for either player involved. Priest having access to a 1 mana "fuck all your taunts" in shard makes it even more obnoxious since you can't use taunt minions to find time to resolve the stat sticks.

Because not everyone is playing switcheroo priest? If everyone techs in a way to beat the meme combo (plenty of ways besides starfish), then from the switcheroo player's perspective it is a coinflip of popping off the combo and losing. For everyone else, they will hopefully play against other people as well and enjoy the normal rock-paper-scissors we all love.
If priest plays switcheroo on 3, they aren’t playing the twin fin until 4, can’t hit you until 5. The highroll is no creatures drawn, illuminate on 1 to dredge switcheroo, switcheroo on 2 for free and then coin twin fin. That still gives you a chance to interact on turn 3. This is also a huge pie in the sky requiring you to go second, not draw either of two cards, draw one specific card, and dredge a specific card. Switcheroo is a great card but it is not a build around card and this is a trash deck. It’s not a coin flip, there isn’t only one card that counters it and it isn’t an otk. There are at least ten other cards more concerning than switcheroo in standard.

Turn one: Illuminate switcheroo, draw it with tradeable, play it.
Turn two: coin fin twin
Turn three: bam!
(Sorry, I can't help myself. I have "WELL, ACTUALLY!" disease.)

Nevermind, forgot you needed one more moving part… ban it.

You could theoretical play a 12/12 wisp on turn one! Broken as hell. Actually, if could buff its attack to 15 on turn two, that might be a quicker win...

It's not problem with swithceroo it's problem with darkness lets make darkenss 5/5 dormant when awaken give it + 15/15 and its solved.

I've started playing x2 Big Game Hunter's. I got the Priest in my sites!
It's impossible to win a turn 3 priest that plays 2 12/12 minions...
Post deck to test it?

I never made so many friend requests in HS ever before.
Seems like everybody wants to be my friend, when they meet me and se me playing this fun deck.
Nope.

I'd say a possbile nerf-option would be "Draw 2 minions. Swap their Health".
This way there'd still be enough potential for interesting combos (with Inner Fire and the like), but It'll be harder to get all the pieces in hand.
What's happening right now is just ridiculous. (And I'm a main Priest-Player!)
