So, I have reached the stage where I have most of the key legendaries and have the luxury of crafting a more specialised "tech" card. Currently deciding between Harrison Jones or The Black Knight. Which is more useful in the post GvG meta? I'm leaning slightly towards Harrison Jones because destroying a weapon can swing the tempo more than destroying a taunt, and there are various means to neutralize a taunt but relatively few for destroying weapons. On the other hand, not every class has a weapon while every class is virtually bound to have a taunt or two.
Post GvG, the decision is easily Harrison Jones. There are much fewer Sludge Belchers running around and Lil Exorcist isn't the kind of threat that needs to be worried about.
I actually prefer TBK by quite a bit. It helps in more match-ups and is near godly vs handlock which seems to be one of the more prevalent decks right now.
Harrison Jones is better now cause there aren't so many taunts if you exclude Sludge Belcher. Harrison is great vs Rogue, Shaman, Warrior and hunter where they play a lot of weapons. The problem is that Harrison can be replaced but not at his full value, by an ooze while The Black Knight can not.
The number of taunts have dropped since GvG, so I'd personally go with Harrison. But that's just me. It's really up to you depending on your deck and which one your deck suffers more from, taunts or weapons.
look at weapons like this; they are essentially 2-5 drops that you cant kill unless you use 1 of 2 cards. now with that said, 2-5 drops are usually decently easy to deal with anyway. now think about taunt minions. they can range anywhere from terrible (1/4 gorilla) to amazing (ancient of war, taunted giant, sludge belcher, list goes on) both cards outright kill either a weapon or a taunt. harrison jones only benefactor is that he draws you cards, where acidic ooze does not. the difference is, there is no other card that outright kills taunts in the game except for TBK. no matter where the meta goes, taunts will always be used, same as weapons. the only difference is, do you want card draw from killing a weapon and using 5 mana, or do you want to use 2 mana to kill the weapon and be able to play something else that same turn? hell, you could even TBK and ooze the same turn if you needed.

TBK!!

Eventually you will craft them both!
It's pretty rare for TBK to not be useful, especially now that there's a spare part that gives taunt.
You will get more value more consistently from TBK. But Harrison does say "That belongs in a museum!", which is awesome.
Mister Smith is spot on in his analysis

i've won a game from this. black knighted a taunted minion from the spare part
i prefer handlock over zoo.
Seems like there is a slight edge to TBK. Does this depend on which rank you are as well? Are weapons more or less prevalent in the higher ranks?
