I am one who likes buffs and nerfs, more the better IMO, I like the change-ups. I will say that some people are just gob-smackingly bad at the game, which is where much of the salt comes from. We're are not all equal here, not even close. Imagine netdecking or watching a streamer with a tier 1/2 deck, spending some RL money on crafting it, and then still only getting a 45% winrate, once you hit a certain rank.
At that point your ego is stood there with it's pants down, balls flapping in the wind, and it needs protecting. So that is what your brain does.
Fuck changing your mind because trying to change the mind of fanboys is like trying to teach a fucking cat to do an oil change. The game is trash. You can be in denial all you want. It's fine. I need something to laugh at.
I watched GM last weekend, almost every single game had either a Mage, or a Mage mirror match. It really felt miserable for the player that did not have Incanter's Flow early.
I thought about this concept as I was losing the vast majority of my games yesterday afternoon while using an alleged “high legend” control priest deck. Since this exact deck was being used by another player in the top ranks of standard, it had to be my fault i was losing by piloting it incorrectly. However, whenever I played against a Warlock i felt it was legitimately a hopeless cause as Tickatus would mill me into fatigue and 6/6 Infernals were being pumped out every turn. Even now it amazes me how someone could win in those match-ups even 40% to 50% of the time. So although i despise Tickatus as a card I know other people out there are actually seeing success with the deck I’m using, which makes me want to learn what their secret is more than wanting to kill the card outright.
I think your particular question can be answered quite easily: Control Warlock isn't played as much in higher as in lower ranks. People in lower ranks just have a strange obsession with that deck and play it more than its potential actually suggests. Some streamer I watched recently quoted data reports on this issue. Control Warlock is the deck with the by far highest discrepancy between performance and play rate. That is why Priest performs way better in high legend ranks. Its most terrible matchup is far less prevalent there.
You are salty because you lost. I get it. I am salty because there used to be really good conversations inside these forums. Coversations that helped all of us learn how to win without nerfing everything. Nowadays, mostly nerfing threads. I am sure there are good ones still, but burried under layers and layers of anti tickatus-springwater-ohhmyyogg-whatever I can´t win against threads.
I am sure this is not the most popular line of thinking, but that does not mean it is absolutly wrong.
Go ahead, change my mind.
This is just a reflection of the natural game right now, there is nothing wrong with it in my opinion. I'm also in this forum for many years already and know what u mean but if something is wrong with the game ( there is a bunch of wrong things) people will complain.
You're right. The dialogue here should be, "how do we beat this?" not "I can't win against this, so it's impossible".
Sometimes a complaint is warranted and if a specific card or deck is being used way too much, then obviously something is wrong, but this meta feels fine.
Just because a deck is popular doesn't mean it needs to be nerfed. The counter might just not be discovered yet or people haven't tried to find new strategies, its punishing the player base for playing a popular deck. There are no specific cards that need nerfing the game is fine as is. There are no warranted complaints here.
Unfortunely, there is nothing to be discovered anymore we have absolutely no options of cards in standard mode because of obvious reasons and the cards people are not using 99% are fillers the other 1% are tech cards that some people use here and there but tech cards just sucks in general, it never worked in this game.
Last words on this thread: They hyped this expansion to be one of the most board centric interactive,"we are introducing the Watch Posts blablabla" (which actually makes board interaction even more limited lol) and guess what happened? This is the most non-interactive state of the game that ever existed. THIS is the major problem for me.
While I agree with the general sentiment, some things absolutely go too far. I'm assuming you're talking about standard, which I never play, but I can at least comment on wild. There's a miracle mage deck there, which aims to kill with some combination of sorcerer's apprentice, flamewaker, and mozaki. It uses all the mana cheating spells currently in standard to play a ridiculous number of spells early in the game for an OTK. So, I pumped my deck full of cards like dirty rat and deathlord to pull out and kill the minions they need to win the game before they can combo off.
One game, I managed to kill both apprentices and one flamewaker in the first 5 turns of the game, and then I got OTK-ed on turn 6 while I had about 15 health worth of minions against an empty board by a single flamewaker, with Stargazer Luna's help. And that mage probably had about 20 more damage worth of cards that turn, based on the hand size. To be honest, I'm not sure what more I could have possibly done to outplay that; the game becomes a binary condition. Draw Illucia, or lose. And that only works because I'm playing priest, I can't imagine what other control decks could do.
And sure, that's an extreme example, but not a super uncommon one, and that still occurred through massive disruption. So, while your statement might be true for the current standard meta, I ask that you don't use that as a blanket statement for all complaints, because the 'you're not allowed to voice a negative opinion under negative circumstances' stance is a very harmful one.

To be honest.....I agree on learning the meta, but nerfs give meta shifts which is always a nice change of pace.

Cards are not weak or strong alone.
Point is strong or weak synergy of cards.
Atm, Paladin, Mage cards have strong synergy.
