Tickatus could be bad for the game but not for the reasons you think. You want to know some decks REALLY bad for the game? I will give an example. OTK DH. There are other examples like OTK DH that are bad game design, but they are more subtle and people don't realise it. OTK DH though is a deck that absolutely should not exist.
Tickatus has one of the highest winrate and THE highest winrate „when played“ in Warlock
My rush warrior lost twice to Tickatus earlier today. Lost 10 cards total and went into fatigue, it was over. Really hoping he gets nerfed in this balance patch which will be announced anyday now, maybe even today!

It's not getting nerfed. It will very likely be mage and paladin. They do extremely broken things that shouldn't be allowed in a game of hearthstone.
played winrate for late game control cards doesnt say anything. to showcase this: mechathun might have a played winrate of near 100% in mecha thun decks, even when the deck itself loses 99% of the games... And turn 8 is slow, this already is lategame. A grindy long game meta is unhelthy, unfun for many, and wont occur again because tempo > value, and tempo cards get better with everyy expansion. It makes the game like it should be: fast paced, pllaying for tempo, putting things on the board instead of sitting there doing nothing but healing face and removing stuff. And, of course ticklock does this, but its an abysmal deck and not even the control killer people think it is: according to the vs report, control warrior running rattlegore, talean to tutor it and faceless to copy it (and not running cthun, a card which by the way is just bad in every deck because it dilutes it with bad cards) is favoured against control lock (the deck is bad in general, but this shows that tick lock is no control killer). Tick lock is at best tier 3, but many low rank peolple like playing it (and they will stay there, because again, the deck is bad), and many more low rank people complain about it because the refuse to counter it. I personally think it will get nerfed, but only because people are whining so much. And guess what: when tick disapears /which it will if it burns less cards/both players decks), your greed value decks will still be bad and lose to the other meta decks. Only exception is, thaat there will be more control priest at low ranks (it is popular at high ranks, bcause noone play a tier 3 tick deck), and the whining will start again...
200 matches of The Tick vs Silas Warrior, Silas maintained 59.6% win rate.
Never has been "auto win" against control/combo. Never has been close to an auto win. Not true. Proven not true.
If you want to talk about other considerations like fun, fine. Stop lying about the effect on the meta.

But did you lose because of fatigue or because he removed all of your threats effortlessly, healed for 20+, and then dumped a massive Y'Shaarj board on you?
It's a handy card in some matchups, but it's not the reason control Warlock beats minion-focused midrange decks.
Either increase it's cost and remove corruption from it or make it only discard 3 cards. discarding 5/10 card from a 30 cards deck is just obscene.
This card alone shouldn't be an auto-win against combo and other control decks and please don't tell "Go Face" cause Warlock got so many tools to control the board and to stay alive against aggro decks.
I think Blizzard could rework Tickatus into one of these:
Battlecry: Remove the top 5 cards from your opponent's deck. No corruption effect, no demon tag. It would be easier to play (even against faster decks), but limited to burning only 5 random cards per game.
Leave corruption as it is, but instead of burning 5 random cards, make it: Discover card from your opponent's deck and then remove it. Repeat 3 times. Less cards to burn, but in more controlled, aimed way.
Control Warlock is one of the worst decks in the game right now. It only has one benefit: they keep Priest in charge. If Tickatus is nerfed most likely Control Priest is going to dominate. Prepare for nerf/delete Priest posts...
Tickatus is a bad card. Removing cards from your opponents deck is a down side for you because smaller decks are better. a 6 mana 8/8 with a down side isn't a good card. If tickatus was a 5 mana 8/8 with taunt it might see competitive play but it certainly doesn't need a nerf. Hoping this card becomes part of next years core set just so people realize how weak it actually is seeing 0 play.
Also this is a duplicate thread, this should be deleted and reposted into that thread.
Do you really think that anyone has a good time playing that deck? They might for a few games. All other games they are completely destroyed by more powerful decks

I think Tickatus will be nerfed and another card in it's place will get a buff. Control is dead if Tick lives.
If game is too hard for you or Tick too Oppresive, you can always play Candy Crush instead.
or I could play some braindead aggro deck like secret paladin instead and not worry about Tickatus
but tought luck if you actually want to play some control or value deck and actually think during the game. Warlock's gonna delete 10 cards from your deck with NO DOWNSIDE, and then beat you with his infinite value Jaraxus.
The card should be 6 mana 8/8 Battlecry: Remove 5 cards from your deck. Corrupt: AND your opponents deck.

No it doesnt cuz its a bad cad.

Control warlock is a tier 3 deck, so let's kill its win condition to make it fair /s
Blizz is also buffing 10 cards so I expect them to buff something in warlock when they nerf Tickatus.

because you don't play it when you're losing.
Yep, winrate does not matter this probably the worst card they ever printed. No idea how anyone thought a card like this was a good idea.
The most feels bad card to lose against, no counter to having your deck destroyed.
I just wonder WTF they were thinking.
Warlock is #7 class by win-rate
So that's what tier 3? 4?
Tickatus is fine as it is.
Do you really think that anyone has a good time playing that deck? They might for a few games. All other games they are completely destroyed by more powerful decks

Im sure he will get a nerf or change asap / today
Still waiting for Patchnotes
