In Dark Moon Faire, there were old gods, now in the Barrens we have dragons. Nevertheless, I don't see anyone playing them except for the celestial druid deck.
I wonder why everyone considers them but noone I am included take them in my decks.
Do you think this situation changes in the following days?
I mean the original Dragons from Classic had basically fallen out of the Meta as well, except as Discover options. So it's not too strange.
And with most of the Dragon synergy gone to Wild again with the rotation of Descent of Dragons there's not many discover options that will have you find Dragons, so you see them in games even less.

Malygos is good for decks that lack card draw, but most decks don't.
Alex, Ysera, Onixia and Deathwing are too slow and just can't compare with actual finishers like Mordresh, C'thun, Carnival clown..
Alex specifically is such a bad card, people think it's a better King krush but the truth is, beast tag is much more valuable and synergistic than dragon tag. And the healing version is also trash compared to libram of hope.
Ysera is ok in priest in control mirrors and that's about it, no point in playing that card in any other class right now. Maybe druid for the dream removal.
Deathwing is still a niche like it used too, I'm sure Blizzard data shows that it has a great winrate when played, like Al'akir, but that's not enough to make players want to play these cards.

Alex is pretty good tbh. If you put it the way you did Alex is King Crush and Libram of Hope in one card. How is that bad??
Also you can’t really say a Beast tag is more valuable and synergistic than a Dragon tag. Comparing ‘tags’ doesn’t make sense at all.
im testing out alex atm, i think she might have potential but the other ones are pretty bad.. if you are playing a deck with maly you are pretty much playing a meme deck
I didn’t lose to Rogue and Paladin today with my Dragon Priest. vs Mage was like 50-50. My worst matchup is Control Warlock with Tickatus. I run both Alex and Ysera. In a few games i played 3+ Alex or Ysera! Priest can generate many Dragons (thus Alex and Ysera) with i.e. Draconic Studies (and many cards can generate a Draconic Studies) and Skeletal Dragon. On T10 you can both play Ysera AND remove a threat from the board. To me from best to worst; 1. Alex 2. Ysera 3. Maly 4. DW 5. Ony 6. Noz.
I play Alex, Onyx and Ysera in a few decks. Works pretty well. But I can understand why people dont want to run them because they dont seem to be impactfull but they are.

"... but not less than (1)" is needed now more than ever!
I use Malygos in my watch-post C'thun priest deck, mostly because he offsets the fact that C'thun clogs your deck and makes it slow,
But if you're lucky he also draws the pieces,
I sadlyhaven't found an use for Alex or Ysera though, not enough defensive tools in the card pool to be able to reach the lategame with any class not called priest.
Overlord Runthak is good in warrior,Taelan Fordring will be in the refined versions of Mordresh Fire Eye decks. These cards were designed to be "usable" but not as strong as expansion cards. That was their purpose, these cards are mainly there to give newer players a foundation for their decks. If I make a new account, just think how much better off I am today than I would be the last 5 years of hearthstone. THAT is its purpose and I think its fulfilling that.

What I meant is that you can interact with the beast tag and create synergy in more powerful ways than the dragon tag currently in standard.
Alex has the option to be one or the other, except libram of hope has taunt and costs up to 3 mana, and king krush as I said can interact with the beast tag in ways that make him more than a strict 9 mana 8/8 deal 8 damage like alex. I'm talking about cards like Dire Frenzy, Don't Feed the Animals, Beastmaster Leoroxx, Warsong Wrangler, Scavenger's Ingenuity
Dragon synergy is pretty much gone, just a few leftovers in priest, but beast synergy is still a center piece of hunter's identity.
I have lost to Malygos and Ysera, but not yet to Alex and Onyxia, and haven't seen Deathwing once.

Rogue and Paladin kill you by turn 6, so why bother?

I included one in my rogue deck.

anything above 5 mana need to be stupidly over powered in order to see play and cards around 5 you can only have a few of max 5 rest should be 1-3
Sounds like you need to learn to play better.
I use them in my Dragon Priest deck.
Because they're pretty bad.

and that is fun and all that but it is not good

Alex and ysera are pretty good in a tempo-midrange list, but most of the midrange decks have actually better finishers than them

It's not.
It's either one, not both. The flexibility is not enough to make up for the lost quality. And it's not like King Krush is that good either.
You absolutely can, different tags are better on different cards. Again, not like King Krush is great either.

I've found Alexstrasza to be really strong in Shudderwock Shaman. Especially being able to snipe for 16 damage with the quest.
Because high cost minions are not played. They are cheated. Look at King Krush. Who unironically spends Mana to play King Krush?
Nobody. You don't play King Krush. You cheat it using Leoroxx or Brann.
There's no way to cheat the Dragons. Also, you don't want to cheat them, since they're good because of the Battlecry effects.
I honestly don't like it. Cheating high cost minions is honestly not fun. But, I honestly have no idea how to solve the problem.
I have seen them some, but im playing at very low level atm.
