Short and simple Maw of C'Thun as a 5 mana top deck is pretty underwhelming in a meta like we see today. Its like playing Rogues Assassinate which is classic, and not a by product of a 10mana leggo of a God.
A possible buff for Maw of C'Thun to help these decks in the current meta reads "Piece of C'thun (0/4) Destroy a minion and all copies of it everywhere". It also feels more C'thunish, which scares the opponent, which it should of course.
Just my cyber space input - still like Cthun, the shattered decks, but 5 mana spells feel very underwhelming considering the amount of power creep in todays meta (hi Uther).
you get 3 removals and 1 taunt to survive and after this you get a 30 damage battlecry that could easily be triggered twice (in wild) to finish your opponent. What else do you want? This card is more than generous. You don't need to play cthun. Jesus frickin Christ.

Calm down.

The issue with C’Thun isn’t necessarily C’Thun, but that in standard it’s one of only a few versatile neutral win conditions for control decks. I wouldn’t mind it’s cards being buffed but I really wish Blizzard would add more end game options to standard as theory-crafting decks at the minute is a chore.
Ooo or make it so you start with a 6/6 taunt that's battlecry puts a piece in your hand, and each subsequent piece adds the next, Rin the First Disciple style.
If you've seen the Darkmoon Faire Release Stream they where showing a C'thun deck using Stowaway to draw those pieces, relatively reliably. I believe if you pair this guy with some bounce effects like Tenwu of the Red Smoke you can get C'thun working very consistently.
C'Thun, the Shattered is a typical combo card. It's a 10 mana 6/6 which deals 30 damage randomly split among all enemies. What does this tell us? It has weak stats for 10 mana and it's ability is its strength. It doesn't provide any protection for your hero, no Taunt, no Healing, and it takes a while to play it. Also the 30 damage on a wide board of murlocs vs. Aggro wouldn't really do anything. If our opponent plays Control though, with not a lot of minions but rather early board clears and spells, those 30 damage can certainly hit our opponent's hero instead. So it's clearly a Combo deck and prbly meant to be played with Rogue to make it work. I really can't see it happen in any other class right now.
Because it's a combo piece and you technically have 5 more cards in your deck than usual I believe 5 mana for a removal card is fine though. It's supposed to be slow and useless vs. Aggro. But has tons of value. I wouldn't put C'Thun, the Shattered in a Control based deck. Board clears would do the job just fine and most of the time C'thun wont go off anyways.

"Do you smell something...burning?
All C'Thun pieces should have "and draw a card" in the text to maybe, M-A-Y-B-E, be competitive with stuff like Arbor Up in the meta.
The new C'thun just needs to be reworked changing 1 piece of c'thun won't do anything
Nerfing aggro decks could make C'thun better though.

I would rather a buff to the one that does 7 pings. At least this card does something reliable.
Galavant Animation
just give us all the pieces in one go problem solved
You mean like, C'Thun?
