When playing Secret Passage, my hand appears to be shuffled into my deck. However, this is not quite the case, something I experienced when playing a Prince Keleseth drawn by Secret Passage, but getting my hand back without any buffs.
Does anyone know what happens with other deck buffs like Survival of the Fittest and Embiggen? Given how Prince Keleseth did not buff my original hand, I assume this is the case with any other deckbuff as well, and that my hand enters a "discarded" state, or something, when the hand is replaced.
I am confused! I would much prefer the shuffle to count as "in my deck" when it leaves my hand, and if not, fix that animation!
It's a confusing one but nowhere in the card text of Secret Passage does it say the cards in your hand go into your deck. Replace is not the same as swap.
Secret Passage has always been a bit of a weird one. But I believe your hand literally goes to an alternate dimension when you play it. It's a unique interaction where the cards in your hand are removed from existence temporarily. This is why you can use Secret Passage to draw your remaining deck and win with Mecha'thun, for example.
Notice that the animation actually has your cards going into a blue portal that looks like a door, not actually into your deck.
first, keleseth buffs minions in your DECK, not hand, so both the passaged hand and current hand gets nothing; second, galakrond gets the buffs as long as he exists somewhere in your starting deck, so if he's destroyed, like by tickatus, he still triggers the evoke and levels up; third, no, using the druid buff spells on secret passage does not buff the currently passaged hand, only the new hand and the current deck gets buffed

I am curious about how Survival of the Fittest works. If the cards are not buffed by that, they are indeed neither in the hand nor deck, but somehow still in the game.
I believe there are some weird interactions with hand buffs as cards are reshuffled into your deck as well, but I have to investigate a bit more.
If you have C'Thun in hand, play Secret Passage and buff him, the animation will trigger, but your C'Thun will NOT have recieved the buff when you get him back into your hand.
Edit: For the 4 cards you get first with Secret Passage, no handbuffs will stick when returned to your deck. I guess this is consistent with other "shuffle" mechanics. Cards that you draw and stay in your hand will retain buffs, though.
Apparently, cards which are supposed to be discarded at the end of your turn are also turned permanent by a trip to the Secret Passage dimension through how "end of turn" effects are triggered.

Galakrond, the Nightmare now DOES get the buffs, no matter which dimention he is in, and I assume C'Thun does the same.

Ok, I did the research. C'Thun is bugged with Secret Passage, just like Galakrond, the Nightmare used to be.

Evocation plus Secret Passage = free hand full of mage spells. :)
Does anyone know if putting a card into the special dimension clears the debuff from Chaos Gazer? xD
