I dont know what low iq card designers blizzard has still left but the fact that somehow a card like this made it into the game again is mindblowing. This card literally makes it unable for anyone to play control decks. You can beat your opponent without even having to fight his deck at all. You can literally just dodge any strategy any well thought archtype just by destroying the deck with a broken Mill card that is not even A TEMPO LOSS. Its a fucking 6 mana 8:8. You lose nothing from playing this card. And with y shaarj you get another 8:8 for free. And if you somehow manage to get more copies of this card through discovering demons or what ever then your entire deck is gone in an instant.
With Rin, the First Disciple you at least got a massiv tempo loss as punishment for trying to destroy your opponents deck what made the card somewhat balanced especially you could also silence it. Your only chance now is to get super lucky by putting 2 Hecklebot in any controll deck and get this card out of the deck without battlecry. If you wonder why aggro exist then the answer is decks like this who ruin an entire meta. Just remove the card /pjsalt
I understand that you're angry about the card, and the anger is coming through in this post. But, honestly, it is a ridiculous card that probably should never have been made haha. If it was 6 mana 6/6 it would still be played. Even 4/4, it would still be played (although at that point it would be just for annoying the opponent, and it would belong in the priest pool). Tickatus is one of my top 3 reasons for switching games (for now at least). Also, if I didn't switch games, Tickatus is the top reason I play only aggro any more.
Here's hoping the game can revert to its former glory one day!

If Hecklebot is the answer to too many people using Tickatus, then Hecklebot is what we need in our decks. It may also be the answer to C'thun decks. Pulling it out and avoiding the battlecry would be huge.
I didn't like putting Oozes in all my decks because Bomb warrior was absolutely everywhere last season, but I did it, anyway. I didn't like putting lots of early game removal in my deck because Face Hunter is just too prevalent, but I did it anyway.
Unfortunately, as annoying as it is, this might just be the way to go about it. Not every deck will get blown up by having their cards burned, but the ones that do, will have to play around it with whatever tools they can.
I'm going to have to somewhat agree, this card feels REALLY bad. I've thought very few cards needed a BIG nerf but this is shaping up to be at the top of that list. The mana cost and stats are just so strong for when it can be played, and then not even to mention the Y Sharrj shenanigans. I hate the card and can not imaging a world that it doesn't see some sort of nerf.
I've done the Tickatus/Brann combo a couple times now, and I do agree as much fun as it is to disrupt combo decks, it's far too easy to pull off and just wins you the game on the spot many times. Not to mention leaving your opponent likely really salty. I don't get much enjoyment out of disrupting decks that don't rely on combos either.
I don't know how to modify this card, however. The effect needs to be changed completely. A mana adjustment isn't enough.
I don't think they will remove the card (they absolutely should). I just hope they nerf it to oblivion like Warsong Commander so we can start having fun with late game strategies again. We already have mill style decks in wild that scratch the itch (mill rogue, treachery lock) without discouraging control players from playing the game.
Honestly there are better decks out there... And if this deck becomes meta...people would start teching it. People start complaining nowadays so easy. Earlier people used to use tech cards...try out something different before crying about it.
I am amazed, that everyone agrees to a rage thread, thats unique on Hearthpwn and that says a lot about this card, I guess.
That being said, almost every meta ends in an aggro meta, with the last one being an exception. However, Tickatus alone could stop a control meta, so I wonder how many Warlocks we will see in tournaments.
Oh lord, ok fine... you put hecklebot in all your decks and cross your fingers! This card is pretty bad/ignorant. Warlock is an auto-concede now. I’m glad Blizz isn’t putting out any product other than a game I play while on the toilet! Because that dev/testing group have had a lot of BIG misses recently. Thoughtful/strategic control decks are too hard to pilot... Aggro is hella easy and brings in more players. More players means more chances they will spend mooooooola!!!!!
I feel like its a legendary for the wrong class. Warlocks have WAY too good of card draw with the hero power, and plot twist and other discount cards its just too easy to find and play this for the cost and power.
To the poster with an idea for nerfing it... I like your idea. I completely expect it will be nerfed. And I completely expect it will not be nerfed correctly.
As someone who has been playing the card since day 1 of the expansion ... yes, I think it may be a problem. The thing is, it's too easy to meet the requirements to burn at least ten cards from your opponent's deck. Playing against a highlander mage I was able to play two of this guys after he played lorekeeper, so I destroyed all of the late game in his deck. Now ... is it a problem in the current meta? I don't think so, you will never be able to do something like this against DH, evolve shamans and hunters.

Just gotta play the meta.

In a way, I agree, this card as if aids & hemorrhoids had a child & that card was the result of it. Unfun to play or lose against.

So remove DH as well then
I think the solution is that even when corruped it should still remove 5 cards from your deck so:
Battlecry: Remove 5 cards from your deck
Corrupt: and your opponent's

Tickatus isn't fun or interactive

TFW people think that the game should be balanced around Wild, a mode that less than 10% of players play
this is completely correct. Wild is wild... I expect NO balance in wild.

all these scott tenormans in here. sad that tickatus is in theyre chili
MMMmmmmmm...Acceptable.
Its getting too spicy in Flavortown
This is my take on it. There has to be rules on how far you are allowed to destroy your opponents deck. But the core of the card stays the same
