Dunk Tank is obviously spell damage synergy and with Rune Dagger it's easy to set up face damage plus AoE. On like turn 6?
Didn't you get the memo? Spell damage shaman is going to be great this expansion...
heheheh
But in all seriousness, there's probably going to be some real heat (sparks?) shown off for shaman soon. Notice how basically no shaman cards have been revealed yet?

Saving the best for last, baby!
Yea I was born yesterday dude, they start off with this "thing" Dunk Tank surely they have learned that shaman was bad the last 3 expansions!!!
I got legend this expansion by playing highlander shaman with over a 65% winrate. Shaman is good if you know how to build and play it and cards like this only make shaman's control strategy even better than it is now
I mean Dunk Tank is really not a bad card. And is not strictly a worse Fire Breather at all. I dunno if it's a fantastic card, or if it gives Shaman tier 1 status or anything, but it's a solid addition to any spell shaman/control shaman lists.
I'm too lazy to check, but were you one of the people being butthurt about Shaman being "totally broken" for the 2 months Evolve was back in Standard? Or the 48 hours that Galakrond Shaman was good?
Have you been raging about Paladin "always getting the worst cards" up until, and even during, the Scholomance reveal? Have you been complaining about Paladin being "totally broken" since?
I will assume that your answer to all these questions is "no", and I would actually believe you. But I hope you won't argue with me that there were plenty of people behind all these cases. And you might take it as a sign that class viability changes, sometimes suddenly, sometimes drastically, and there's always ups and downs. No need to get so worked up about it. Especially when only 1 out of 10 Shaman cards was revealed so far.
Sidenote: Warlock is even worse in Standard than Shaman right now. Not even talking about Wild.

I honestly don't get your point, if we talk about wild the only viable shaman is big shaman and he is falling off behind control warlock and discard warlock by a mile.
Sure I am butt hurt about shaman because it is my favorite class but it doesn't change the fact that so many cards in this game need some serious balancing and most of the shaman cards do need a buff, if there was just slightly more balance in the game we would be seeing a lot more variety of decks in the ladder instead of facing the same top 3 decks in the meta. Imagine queuing a match, you have no idea what your opponent is going to play against you and you are surprised with almost a completely different match every-time.
This is my dream but it's never going to happen especially when the "Elite balance team of small indie billion dollar company" have the nerve to print out unplayable trash cards like Dunk Tank the only value you are going to get from this card is after you play it, you concede and disenchant it for 20 dust.
Well, Shaman has a pretty decent control deck just now. When C'Thun lands in a few days, quest shaman will basically instawin when they play a double cthun battlecry. All they need is to survive till then, and there are plenty of aoe and healing options.
First of all Activision Blizzard don't read Hearthpwn forums so I'll just assume you're talking to us not them.
Shamans have been top tier in a number of metagames.
Classes have different hero powers and different pool of cards and all it all it's rarely relevant to compare cards of different classes in a vacuum based entirely on their power level, especially when they're very different cards with different purpose and deck restrictions like those you mentioned.
Whenever the standard format isn't fair to a class in your opinion, go play some wild games for a couple of weeks and it'll be okay, people will figure out a good standard T2 deck while you can wait for the next expansion and the next OP card.
Hearthstone is based on deck synergy, not on the power of one particular card versus another. Don't trash an entire class just because of a single card reveal please.
Fire Breather is clearly a lot better than Dunk Tank.
Stop bullying shaman, buff all of it's cards.
Thank you for your consideration,
-A loyal dedicated hearthstone player.
It's a conditional better card than Swipe. Fire Breather only deals 2 damage. You swap a body for 4 direct damage - potential 6 on a single target.
Please tell me how are you going to play a 5+ mana card just to activate this "removal" when the enemy has a full board of 2/2's on turn 4?

Agree the card it's not good and shaman has no win condition, no card draw or card generation.
This expansion needs to do some heavy lifting...
After 3 expansions do they even remember that the class exist?
ah yes, shaman is a bad class
says noone
someone hasn't been there, in the days of aggro shaman ruling the world

why do people care so much about shaman?
Shaman is Tier-3 Demon Hunter. Deal with it. Only Shudderwock revamp will bring this shitty class back. He is true Old God, you know?
Dunk Tank is here to show that devs will not give good cards to shaman again. It gives me so much butthurt.
/s right?
Also the demon got nice boobies.

Don't get you, sorry.

Lul no.
