Serious question here. Remember when people were saying Glide was the most oppressive card to ever be printed in a card game ever? Quick follow-up... Has anyone seen it get used yet?
Seriously haha. I'm sure some people have seen it used, but I don't know why some people didn't see how obviously situational the card was.
I'll be the first to admit it's a lot less oppressive than I first thought. However Mindreader is a problem that I'd like to be addressed, it ain't fun having your hand stolen
Yeah I'll agree, Mindreader is a hell of a lot more annoying haha. It sucks to be punished when you're saving some cards for a big swing turn. I think there should be some counterplay to that (saving cards for big turn) - Dirty Rat was great for this, but Mindreader just doesn't feel good (to play, or to have it played against you).

Glide was hyped exactly two days, then other cards came, we saw the game was going midrange (p.s. I think after nerfs it'd be just that), but I join Kraljstribor, got 2 goldens myself, which could've been a nice legendary craft from the nerfs.
Funny enough, on the flipside - Stalina is doing nicely. Not broken in any way, but nice disruption. And everyone thought she'd be total junk.
So far, expansion is very nice, the number of early highrolls is a real bitch though.
I think the reason is there's no strong combo decks at the moment. The meta at the moment is either ramp or aggressive decks. If someone discovers a really powerful game winning combo then i think Glide will make a significant comeback.
I never thought it was the most oppressive card to be ever printed in a card game (seriously, that would be too much), but it is cool. Obviously, Glide has potential. Could be a thing in the future (even in a not so distant one) or never be useful at all (not even in Wild), no one knows, that's for sure.

I never quite thought that either haha. It's just the vibe I got from some comments here when it was first revealed =P.
I've played my fair share of Magic, and, to a lesser extent, Yu-gi-oh (back in my younger days). I know oppressive cards, and Hearthstone rarely gets close to some cards from those games haha.

People are currently not playing DH a lot because it basically got many crappy cards (much deservedly so) and everybody realised the new ones are way worse than the already existing ones. Thus, there's not much excitement in playing the same old deck or running a far worse version of it. I have a feeling though that once the dust of "let's have fun and try new things!" settles we'll be back to tempo DH and huntards in no time. And the only additions to tempo DH list will probably be Kreen and one copy of Glide.
Who will play a 4 manas card maybe disrupt opponent play when your opponent play 7 manas card give a massive board worth 10 manas in turn 3 or is a hiper aggro you will help with Glide? Was hyped because was one of the first revealed cards and we don't see what the meta will be.
In a normal meta where control can be a thing Glide will be really powerful.
Glide was rightfully hyped because at that time we did not know about Secret Passage, Voracious Reader, Mindrender Illucia and the crucial very good 5 Mana Beasts that were supposed to be comboed with Guardian Animals.
They released more broken stuff later, but Voracious Reader is the main thing that makes Glide useless at the moment.

I admit was kinda horrible to lose to glide in a game I had before. MY foe used it two times straight fucking my whole strategy setup from druid kael. But, since then, never saw it again. I saw sometimes, played sometimes...it's really strong, but not that much. Many game the card just benefit the enemy if they are playin aggro.

since I opened two golden glides was waiting for the nerfs, now I'm sad :(

Classic overreaction. I've had it played against me a few times and each time it drew me a better card to play next turn.
Mindreader might be my favourite card ever printed. Haters gonna hate!

In a control heavy meta, this card would shine. But first, there must be a control heavy meta. :P
QFT.

Remember when Dr. Boom was supposed to be just a War Golem 2.0?
It's almost as if nobody can see into the future....shocking revelation I know.
