would have been rated better in the current meta but in the upcoming meta will sadly fall short as it's a bit too slow. also it requires a high mana spell to become an actual threat and big spell shaman will not be a strong deck in the new meta.
if spell damage mage\shaman succeeds in being a top tier deck this card will be the absolute core of the deck and might be a 5 star card. worth mentioning that it can hit face with his ability, on top of being fairly statted.
this card generates a lot of stats for 5 mana but it is too random and also too slow (doesn't impact the board unless it summons a rush minion) so it won't make the cut for aggro rough (secret passage rouge).
compared to captain Greenskin the doctor has an immidiate impact on the board (rush) so it can fit in control warrior with some weapons and can help any warrior/rouge weapon based deck.
the card will fit well in libram paladin but still this deck is not a good enough deck and won't be one in the upcoming meta. also the randomness of the card makes it less reliable.
could easily be a 5 star card in the current meta but i thimk zoolock will not be good enough compare to other aggro decks that will dominate the new meta. still, this card alongside thekkan can make lackey-zoolock a really good deck.
this cards has a lot of potential to be very swingy but it really depends on how the meta is going to turn out to be. i think it will be a better match for warlock because DH is too aggressive for this kind of a control oriented card.
has some potential to be a combo disruptor, but i think it will only see play if the meta will be too combo oriented and glide won't be enough or will get nerfed.
at first glance it seems like a decent removal card for paladin, but for 8 mana it is definetly too slow and will see play only in a very slow and control oriented meta.
maybe the best card in this list as it is so versatile and disruptive to the opponent. will be played in any priest deck and good against any kind of deck.
will fit perfectly in control shaman but since shaman is not going to be strong in the upcoming meta this gets just 3 stars as it cant make shaman strong on its own.
this card is very strong on its own but in reality, i cant see a deck that can revolve around this card and be really competitive hence it only gets 3 stars. with the right support can become a 5 star card.
the worst legendary of the set (for standard mode). has a very slow effect that is dependent on your opponents plays. still, will be an amazing card to summon randomly.
in conclusion, i think the power level of the set is through the roof and almost every legendary card in this list is good.
personally i think all the 5 star cards are safe crafts but as always the meta can be very shifty.
I don't see how Mindrender Illucia is going to be worth it. Sure you can take your opponents deck and play some of his stuff, but he also gets a turn to play your stuff and draw 1 card.
You only want to use this card if you have a really bad hand, but then you are going to lose anyway.

Opponent playing bad Priest cards vs you playing their good cards.

Mindrender Illucia might not be super strong, but it's probably the most frustrating card to play against ever printed (maybe alongside Glide). Seems like Priest's class identity is just to annoy people.

Every card game has effects like this, it was long due. At least it is still more interactive than OTK decks that go AFK until they have combo pieces.
1. Ace Hunter Kreen - He's 4 stars to me. He'll make early trades with DH very, very powerful in the early game against other aggro decks, especially with the hyperaggro flavor of DH that seems like it's going to become more popular coming up.
2. Shan'do Wildclaw - 3.5 stars. Beast synergistic decks are going to be decent, but they'll lack a lot of flexibility of other archetypes, so I can't give this one too much.
3. Speaker Gidra - 4.5 stars if the right deck can be made. 10 mana with Overflow, draw 5 cards, get an 8/11 with Rush and Windfury?
4. Ras Frostwhisper - 5 stars. Extremely powerful, must remove card, if this guy isn't removed it's GG, and he does enough damage to make that not a guarantee. Not like you can freeze him.
5. Jandice Barov - 2.5 stars. Kind of weak, since you get two 1 health minions and a random 5 cost for 5 mana.
6. Doctor Krastinov - 3.5 stars. Little better than Greenskin most of the time, can let you hit face with a weapon by clearing a small minion.
7. Lord Barov - 5 stars. He's a cheap board clear, basically. Play him before you do your risky skipper + armorsmith action.
8. High Abbess Alura - 2.5-3.5 Stars depending on the power of tempo-based priest decks. Can pull the wrong spells at the wrong time, so you might leave out important spells when building.
9. Disciplinarian Gandling 5 stars, I think this badboy is bringing zoo back by making a hyper aggro version possible with tons of 1 drops.
10. Soulciologist Malicia - 5, actually. I think this card will be very, very strong at swinging the board. Getting to do 18 damage to the enemy board and summon a 5/5, or just that and summon 6 3/3s is going to be very strong.
11. Star Student Stelina - 5. Honestly, I think people severely underestimate this card. It's like draw denial, except better. Bad Luck Albatross still sees play... This is better. You get to read info and deny a card. It's really, really powerful. If you're watching the trade game in terms of cards left, this one is nuts, especially if you deny something important, like card draw.
12. Forest Warden Omu - 5. Spell damage games and just tempo swinging makes this card so good.
13. Professor Slate - 4. This is targeted hard removal, basically turns all your damaging spells into "destroy a minion." Definitely useable in highlander hunter with cheap spells. This is like "oh, you've got 2-3 big bois? Let me kill those for you."
14. Mozaki, Master Duelist - 3. This enables combo mage archetypes, actually, with Potion of Illusion. Might be good if the right deck can be built, where you half control the board and then burn with spells.
15. Turalyon, the Tenured - 3 Stars. Kills something dead, leaves a must kill 3/9. A bit expensive for that, perhaps? But it's still decent, IMHO.
16. Mindrender Illucia - 2.5 stars. Not bad, but I see this being cheesy and annoying, not necessarily good.
17. Infiltrator Lilian - 4 stars. Agreed, very solid. If you kill a lone minion with her, then you get to hit face on the same turn. Aggro card for sure.
18. Instructor Fireheart - 5 stars. I can't see 3. Maybe 4, but being able to chain cast spells for a turn, especially with discount from Dwarven Archaeologist? It could be a turn 6-8 lethal sort of card in the right deck, or a "right on turn 10 combo", so I absolutely see huge potential in this card.
19. Archwitch Willow - 4 stars. Recruit mechanic was very powerful back in the day, and combining that with decent stats plus playing something from your hand that is also big means you could make a very menacing board very fast. I hate how everyone thinks that the game is too fast now, it's like people never get out of the low ranks where aggro is most prevalent.
20. Rattlegore - 3-4 stars. Depending on the meta, this will be powerful. Control warrior isn't common now (though it has been piloted recently) because it doesn't have much punch later on to keep up. This changes that, especially if you rampage and copy it.
21. Sphere of Sapience - 4 stars. Good, but its value ultimately is 100% from the specificity of the cards you shuffle in, and it costs a card. There's a possibility it even hurts more than it helps, probably 10-20% of the time honestly.
22. Vectus - 5 stars, easy. Extremely flexible, lots of very powerful deathrattles. I.e. even facehunter can use this with Kobold Sandtrooper, but you can easily spam a bunch of Bad Luck Albatross.
23. Lorekeeper Polkelt - 4 stars. I keep it at 4 stars because there's a chance it doesn't find a good deck. But, there's also the chance that if it finds the right deck, it'll be absolutely bonkers.
24. Headmaster Kel'Thuzad - 5 stars. Wipe the opponent's board, summon it on your side. Or, kill a big minion, basically 7 mana mind control. Or Shield Slam for 6 mana mind control. Very, very strong TBH.
25. Keymaster Alabaster - 4 stars. I'm not seeing "1" star here. You get a big spell or minion off of your opponent, it's very powerful. It'll be "not bad" 90% of the time and instawin the game 1-5% of the time by picking big swingy cards that combo well, but combo even better when cost reduced, like Malygos, or Exotic Mountseller. Or, you know, you just get 1 mana Ysera, Unleashed.
I think a controlly meta is coming back, personally. There are enough tools to deal with counter aggro, and there are enough strong minions now with this meta to threaten Galakrond decks.
Thanks for your guide, I made one too a few days ago. I rated archwitch willow, fireheart and rattlegore highly. I expect the meta to slow down alot after the first round of nerfs anyway.
here are my ratings for the new 25 legendary cards for Scholomance Academy - standard mode only.
1. Ace Hunter Kreen - 4 stars
will be a staple in highlander hunter but other then that wont see competitive play because it doesn't fit the hunter or DH aggressive playstyle
2. Shan'do Wildclaw - 5 stars
such a versatile card. will be a staple in highlander hunter and will also create a new beast archetype for druid and maybe also for hunter too.
3. Speaker Gidra - 3 stars
would have been rated better in the current meta but in the upcoming meta will sadly fall short as it's a bit too slow. also it requires a high mana spell to become an actual threat and big spell shaman will not be a strong deck in the new meta.

6. Doctor Krastinov - 3 stars
compared to captain Greenskin the doctor has an immidiate impact on the board (rush) so it can fit in control warrior with some weapons and can help any warrior/rouge weapon based deck.
7.Lord Barov - 5 stars
this cards is bonkers in almost any warrior or paladin deck which makes it an easy 5 star card. probably will work better in warrior.
8. High Abbess Alura - 3 stars
the card will fit well in libram paladin but still this deck is not a good enough deck and won't be one in the upcoming meta. also the randomness of the card makes it less reliable.
9. Disciplinarian Gandling - 4 stars
could easily be a 5 star card in the current meta but i thimk zoolock will not be good enough compare to other aggro decks that will dominate the new meta. still, this card alongside thekkan can make lackey-zoolock a really good deck.

11. Star Student Stelina - 2 stars
has some potential to be a combo disruptor, but i think it will only see play if the meta will be too combo oriented and glide won't be enough or will get nerfed.
12. Forest Warden Omu - 5 stars
possibly the strongest card as it enables a crazy OTK combo on its own. will probably get nerfed pretty soon.
13. Professor Slate 1 star
doesn't fit hunter playstle even if it had more cheap damage spells to support it.
14. Mozaki, Master Duelist - 2 stars
could see some play in spell damage mage but too slow and too hard to take a good advantage of.
15. Turalyon, the Tenured - 1 stars
at first glance it seems like a decent removal card for paladin, but for 8 mana it is definetly too slow and will see play only in a very slow and control oriented meta.
16. Mindrender Illucia - 5 stars
maybe the best card in this list as it is so versatile and disruptive to the opponent. will be played in any priest deck and good against any kind of deck.
17. Infiltrator Lilian - 4 stars
easy inclusion in any rouge deck and a stealth rouge deck especially can take advantage of this card. an amazing card to play on curve
18. Instructor Fireheart - 3 stars
will fit perfectly in control shaman but since shaman is not going to be strong in the upcoming meta this gets just 3 stars as it cant make shaman strong on its own.
19. Archwitch Willow - 1 stars
too slow for standard.
20. Rattlegore - 1 stars
too slow for standard.
21. Sphere of Sapience - 5 stars
such an amazing card for any combo/control deck. will definetly see a lot of play and will force a lot of players to include ooze in there decks
22. Vectus - 3 stars
this card is very strong on its own but in reality, i cant see a deck that can revolve around this card and be really competitive hence it only gets 3 stars. with the right support can become a 5 star card.
23. Lorekeeper Polkelt - 4 stars
could be strong in aggro decks but the question is if it will find a combo deck to fit into, only time will tell.
24. Headmaster Kel'Thuzad 2 stars
to slow card and will probably not make the cut even for the heaviest control decks.
25. Keymaster Alabaster 1 stars
the worst legendary of the set (for standard mode). has a very slow effect that is dependent on your opponents plays. still, will be an amazing card to summon randomly.
in conclusion, i think the power level of the set is through the roof and almost every legendary card in this list is good.
personally i think all the 5 star cards are safe crafts but as always the meta can be very shifty.
I think KT could be good in Control Warrior but other than that I have no hope for that card. It will surely suck in Priest.

This is me, Twitch merger broke my account: https://www.hearthpwn.com/members/Alkan53
23. Lorekeeper Polkelt
It's crazy strong card. With gala rogue you can topdeck galakrond and then draw and discount your most heavy cards.
Druids Izera portals can be summoned right next turn (they all at 9 Mana)
Quest warlock will discount his heavy cards with HP
Demonhunter may topdeck both guldan skulls and Altruis
Thanks for your guide, I made one too a few days ago. I rated archwitch willow, fireheart and rattlegore highly. I expect the meta to slow down alot after the first round of nerfs anyway.
Agreed. This card might get a nerf tbh. This could be 7 mana and still see play in certain decks
