My friend is hosting a tournament with this theme and i was wondering if you guys could help? Primarily mine is gonna be a mage deck if it helps Any good contenders?

Loatheb would be an excellent addition to any midrange/tempo deck

I could see the old quest working out alright, don't need to go crazy with an otk either. Just elementals and the coin generator right? It's a guaranteed second turn. 

Loatheb might be one of the best legendaries ever created. Personally, I think it should be an evergreen card.

Loatheb or N’Zoth. Except with Nzoth we’d have to not allow priest to use it :) lol

Reno mage if you’re going highlander is good. You could also go for flamewaker

Firelands portal if you are going for a no minion mage.

Frost Lich Jaina is a natural choice too as there are so many lackeys around.

If you want a good neutral for the meta I would say primordial drake or for funzies maybe carnivorous cube now that there is less silence and less charge.

Sure, you lose out on wild power cards such as Flamewaker and Luna, but trust you me that Quest Mage will break any format it makes its way into.

No joke just go for Ice Block. You could easily recreate a solid freeze mage with it that'd shatter the tournament!

Original and neutral Reno Jackson, looks like highlander rogue can do a lot more if have decent neutral healing acessible.
