There is a pretty good comparison already with the Doppelgangster. Sure it was around with more handbuffs and evolve, but it did see a fair amount of play, even zoo right. This card could easily be one of if not the strongest of the set.

Well yeah, but there is a difference. My point wasnt about the average 5-drop, it was about how good is the "worse minion" or how good is a random 5-drop that dies to any damage. So instead of stats I was focusing on relevant abilities, like rush. A lot of the times it doesnt matter much if its a 4/4 or a 4/1 when it has rush, so I made this list to see what can you expect with a drawback like this.
This card is excellent in rogue. Not only can you shadowstep it to flood the board with 5 drops for 8 mana, you can evolve her with lackey into a 6 drop too, any galakrond rogue would want this.
Mage is getting a shot at tempo again this season, if that deck pays off this will be in it, but its not gonna make it viable by itself. Im optimistic though, very nice tempo support was shown thus far.
But you also get the 2/1 body, which is miniscule, but nevertheless a body. The card is good, the only question is - is it good enough to replace any card from the current lists?
I think it could be, but the space is pretty tight. For sure not auto-include. But an include potentially - sure.
I think it can find a nice home in Highlander Mage. The deck historically has been able to shift packages and "builds" over time and in response to nerfs (namely Luna's Pocket Galaxy) and I think that there's a chance that some dual-class cards such as this one can promote a shift in some way. We only have half of the Mage cards to go off of so far and I can see cards like Devolving Missiles and Combustion already working their way into the list. Hell, maybe even a Spell package with Mozaki, Master Duelist for a new combo becomes a thing.

The problem is Highlander Mage already has a lot of good cards that need to be cut due to deck size limitations. Very hard to include everything. With even more good cards added to the pool, the choices will only get harder to make. And this card, while obviously good, can potentially be not good enough to waste a deckslot for it.

Let's let Regis decide if she is good or not in his card review today. I think the khadgar shenigans will make her good.

Its already up LOL.
He said it has some competitive potential.
It's trash.
Ras Frostwhisper and the Golem seem like high rolls to me. Honestly I think anything with a decent statline is pretty good.
...Regis seems like a nice guy to me, but I think his card reviews are usually pretty off the mark...
I dont think it will summon minions from other classes
It definitely will.
