It's the infinite card generation. Bliizard has changed Saronite Chain Gang's Battlecry because of this, and I think they should do the same with Doppelgangster. They should change it to: "Battlecry: Summon 2 Doppelgangsters" or, to keep the handbuff synergy: "Battlecry: Summon 2 Doppelgangsters with the same Attack and Health as this minion." . Evolve synergies would be unaffected, but no more infinite Shudderwocks would be possible.
I don't think Shudderwock is a problem in terms of the meta, but in terms of card design. It affects every single decision made about battlecry cards until either the heat death of the sun or Shudder gets deleted / banned from the game.
Also, Wild is the dumping grounds of Blizzard's cards they can't or won't balance, a place where everything broken from Hearthstone past gets to test itself against other broken stuff. The power level there is absurdly high, just as it's meant to be.
Shudderwock sucks from a design standpoint, but in the current meta it's not warping the deck choices of the wild community as a whole.

If you survive that long to play him with that many battlecries you deserve to win.

Oh I agree! I use him all the time in wild, he can be really fun given how high the power levels are out there. I don't think that has anything to do with his design though. Because of Shudderwock, battlecries have to consider "How broken is this if Shudderwock uses it?" which also affects lower-cost spells and weapons that shaman gets, since they can't support a Shudderwock too well, or it comes back. Seems impossible now, but with the right tools, mana cheats, etc. Shaman could very well start coming back as meta. Nothing anytime soon, but it's now forever a consideration for Blizzard to take.

Sure, it’s not a problem. Oh not at all. I guess it’s ok when a card casts battlecires nonstop and forces the other player to either sit through it for 2 minutes or exit the client. Even better when they start getting bounced and the player drops several more in a turn. Have you seen what their game board or screen looks like when this happens? It totally bugs out.
who am I kidding though this is the same community that loves to talk down to people they deem “not playing correctly” whilst directing them to a salt thread. Blizzard could print a 3 mana 8 attack charger for demon hunter and some of you would still defend them

The only delusional one here is you. Shudderwok isn't even a bottom tier deck. It is literal garbage that people play in bronze ranks. The card hasn't been relevant for a long time.
Shudderwock isn't a garbage deck, but it's not amazing either. I played my own personal version of Reno Shudderwock on diamond rank with some success against meta decks, but it still has some consistency issues to be considered good. Infinite Shudderwock combo with Doppelgangster and Grumble is unstoppable yes, but you have to draw all 3 of them, and your draw engine in Reno Shudderwock isn't good. The thing is that the meta decks in wild do broken things more consistently...

Nope ^^ the deck isn't even close to a problem in wild ^^
Sry, but you are 2 years too late with this thread
This. Shudderwok is garbage tier wild deck.
No card should be able to replay 20 cards not even 10, its just straight unfair.
Its called wild.

They should unnerf Saronite Chain Gang like they did with many cards last month.

I agree, Saronite should be unnerfed.
Some of you are delusional
