Played Zephyr with 4 extra mana, full board on the other side (healthiest minion at 5HP), and 5 attack targetable minion on my side. Shadowflame wasn't an option, they were Argus Defender, Mountain Giant and Mass Dispel (no lethal granted). I lost the next turn to Bloodlust.
Well, he is the reason Highlander decks are still playable. If he didn't exist I think the archetype would have just died with Descent of Dragons' release. And I don't think he is unfair, because he is actually (opinion of the majority) one of the best designed cards ever, and something new, that we've never seen before. I mean comparing his power to the drawback of not being able to play any duplicates in your deck is kinda' equal. He is still just a single card and you can't even use him properly for a board clear before turn 6 (or 5 with coin). I'm not saying he is not a powerful card, but he also has his requirements, which make him vary fair actually.
I think, they removed Polimorph and Hex from the pool, or he thinks hex is worse than just kill and trigger dr. I almost lost to big priest coz of it, i just wanted hex his high roll Statue but, no, he gave me useless options, but not hex or polymorph, i even maked 4 mana for reducing outcomes but, no, fireball>than hex for him.
Why cant you realise that zephrys gives cards based on your mana too, if u wanted a hex or polimorph u should have used your hp to be at 4 mana.
Quoted the line from the OP that states they did that. They did something for 2 mana at 8 to get to 6, dropped Z to get to 4 and were presented with options they werent looking for.
Zephrys is not very smart and needs to be hand guided to the solution. I think silence effects are also a little harder for the algorithm to understand since card text usually matters in those situations, and Zephrys doesn't read!

Got Poly today so no. Granted it was against a significantly bigger minion. The problem with Z is that for it to give you Hex, the opposing minion has to have stats on top of the deathrattle. It won't offer you something like that vs an Albatross. What is a mess, because if Z doesn't read, it should pretty much give this (or silence) by deafult when there's a deathrattle on the other side of the board.

it did offer Chaos Nova for my opponent, so demon hunter basic set are included
Looks like Zephrys got sick.

Missed easy silence lethal. Not too complicated to figure out IMO.
Q: What is wrong with Zepherus?
A: He was created in the first place.

I will quote that. XD

Exactly what I think.
Must to know and understand how Zephrys work.
No, it's one of the most amazing cards. The developers just need to code it right, when new cards are being added.
Always expect the unexpectable!
