If you lost to it 3 times it doesn't necessarily mean that the deck is broken. It is probably hard to comprehend, but sometimes (just sometimes!) people don't know how to play against it.
When I try playing with it, I often get mauled by aggro before I can go off. If you're playing a slower deck, then sure, maybe the nerf hasn't improved your matchup

P.S. probably, you one of them
So I should play a deck that I disgust (aggro) to win against a deck I disgust (quest mage)
Open the Waygate is still too good, yes, but Quest Mage has a pretty rough time against most aggressive decks, especially those with a wide board. In that particular matchup, the nerf does matter. The best they can do for stalling is Ray of Frost and some random stuff.
The random stuff can bail them out sometimes, but with a fast, hard hitting deck, you should have a positive winrate against them. You'll just have a miserable time against Control and Combo decks, which are the main reason why Quest Mage is so extremely popular right now.

Yeah you blockhead, that's how counters work, honestly if you are incapable of teching counters into your decks or in enjoying the experience that every archetype has to offer you deserve all the losses you get from a SEVERELY nerfed deck.

The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!

Ok, let me tech some aggro in my control deck, lovely tip, thanks.
I truly belive this nerf was perfect. Quest mage has not been kill but actually just slowed a bit to help aggro to abuse them. If you play any aggro deck you will have 60/70 % winrate against them (at least)
It has the same problem quest rogue had, no control deck can survive them. And just play aggro is not the answer to this problem.
If Control decks wouldn't use exactly the same kind of inevitable, instant win conditions (Highlander Mage, Highlander Priest, Jade Druid and Cubelock to a lesser extent), I might agree with you. But when you complain about a combo deck winning against control decks, because it combos faster than them, you essentially just want your bad matchup removed.
Considering the rest of the Wild meta, Quest Mage is sort of a necessary evil. The deck is overall too resilient, and the quest itself just got too easy to complete over the years, but plaing against Control decks in Wild with a non-combo deck is not exactly fun either. Even control vs control is dumb, since it mostly comes down to who can get all their combo pieces first.
So becouse one cards is good against you its broken? I mean do you really think that, and if so I can tell you its not. Sorry to say, but not every deck is supposed to be good against every deck, especally in wild. Play something else, or use your brain to tech against it, because the deck is very beatable if you dont let them beat you

The difference is you can tech against those.... You can finish jade druid with one single tech card, there are rats to pull value cards from control decks, many ways to interact with them. With quest you can not do anything... You can try to pull their giants with rat and then what? It has like 4 4 and vargoth makes it possible to have 3 turns to finish you off. No combo deck should be impossible to beat with control.

Or you can add some combo-breaking cards, hold them in your hand till mage (or warlock) has got their OTK combos and then slap them into face with brann+dirty rat+some kind of removal or mill them out if you can. The best experience in HS is when you ruin your opponent's combo and see their overconfidence disappearing.
The deck can be strong dude thats nothing wrong with it ,the nerf makes enough difference to make the deck not be op anymore.(i dont even think it was op before anyway lol and i dont play mage for more more than 3 months) .Please just stop cryimg about every single strong deck you face .There are plenty of decks capable of dealing with quest mage even before the nerf.

No room for other decks to explore in this horrible Wild meta.
Change cost of quest reward to 7 or change total spells needed to at least 10.
It's a horrible deck to play against and doesn't have any counters at all.
I counter it with Shadow Council turn 3.
???
It's easily beaten with every aggro/ DH decks.

I'll talk to Blizzard to change it, so your deck will definitely win against it. I got your back, bro ;)

Well yeah I agree. It's a bummer that my OTK Mechathun Warlock is now dead due to the Bloodbloom nerf. Idk what deck to use in Wild atm :/
Highest rank: #840 Wild Legend w/ Mecha'thun OTK Warlock (March 2020)
Wild Legend w/ Kingsbane Rogue (December 2023)
