My guess is they make it 4 mana and its never played again unless some crazy deathrattle deck is created in future expansions. 3 mana 3/2 would be a fair nerf that wont kill the card completely.
3 Mana 3/2: Add a 1/1 to the top and bottom of your opponents deck would be interesting. Its a tech against aggro and highlander after you play your 2nd bird.
I don't think they will nerf the mechanic itself, because it would ruin the card's flavor(and Blizz often highlights how so called flavor is important to them).
So if, in my opinion, they have only stats and cost to mess with, I think they are gonna nerf them significantly to simply discourage people from putting it everywhere they can.
4 mana so many people claim being almost certain, is not a big nerf. Slower decks, which are not based on tempo, could still play it. And if Highlander was a significant part of the meta - they would still do. I can see Priest running 4 mana Albatross easily.
People saying 2 mana is too much of a nerf for Blizard, because they usually just bump things by one mana, surely don't remember Blizzard's overkills from the past. Equality anyone?

They could maybe change albatross to shuffle cards like "summon a 1/1" - and without additional draw, so the messing draws up remains as a part of the effect - but then there's no disadvantage of being forced to actually pay 1 mana to have it not clogging your hand.

Making them draw another card when drawn makes the Albatross useless. It has two purposes:
to mess up with Highlander
to give opponent bad draws
Under this change it still messes up with Highlander (but not so badly actually, because it's only one card for them to draw, not two), while making the "bad draw" aspect of the card completely irrelevant.
I strongly doubt anyone would play Albatross in current meta (where Highlander isn't that big of a deal) if it didn't give opponents two dead draws.
Personally I prefer that it cost the same, have the same statistics but for that I would like to put two birds on each deck. I don't want to be killed.
I hate this nerf so much. It’s an anti-highlander tech card in tons of decks. Highlander decks are already awesome. Their win rate will improve big time when Blizzard does whatever they do and they will have to adjust again.
edit: less one attack or health would be not the end of the world but mana and double shuffle are needed for tech application.

Wait a second, shuffling them on the bottom is actually a buff vs Highlander decks because there is no chance of drawing them before Zephrys/Alex

No way they're taking away the ability to disrupt highlander decks. Higher cost or lesser stats. I suspect the latter.

they either nerf stats or change mana they never change card effect. I think it will be 5 mana or 2/2 for 3 mana
Make it a spell. 2 mana - Shuffle 2 albatrosses into your opponents deck.
This way Priest cant do their bullshit resurrect it 10 times to ruin your entire deck - and ruin your fun at the same time.

He's now a mech with Magnetic, Divine Shield, Taunt, Lifesteal, Rush.
