Bad luck Albatross doesn't have a strong enough swing to penalize its stats, and it has too many conditions.
You have to draw the albatross, then play it, then it has to die (without being transformed), then the opponent has to want to play their highlander card before they draw the 1/1.
It's a really elegant tech card design, definitely doesn't need a nerf. If albatross makes you sad, add some tech yourself like a polymorph or more card draw.
well, its a little more than a tech card. It give your opponent two dead draws regardless if they are highlander/pure decks or not.
This work the other way around too, many games I win for fatigue when I not normally will win if the opponent don't give so many extra turns before I reach fatigue with the tokens, especially in priest vs priest matchs.

The other thing is that sure a 4/3 body + dead draws for enemy is good but a lot of top tier decks WOULD have better cards there anyway if they didn't have to run albatross to improve (/make bearable in some cases) difficult matchups. The card they cut for the essentially stock body + some tech ability could have had much greater synergy with the deck.
Also it says something about other cards if highlander/spell decks are already this good and unchecked in the meta, (maybe.. zephrys and alex are really good at what they do and could possibly do with a nerf given the number of decks built around them ^.^).
Even if albatross was 3/3 or 2/3, people would still run it for the birds and dead draws.

Well, it helps that the Bombs doesn't eat up your draw too. I rather take 10 damage from 2 Bombs and still draw my card for the turn than seeing my next draw be an Albatross that I am now stuck with.
I do believe Albatross does need a stat reduction if the effect remains the same. It does bother me how easily it can disrupt Spell Mage and No Neutral Paladin because of this and both decks isn't really that amazing . For Highlander, I am OK with Albatross but it can get very annoying when Priest resurrect it 2-3 times in a row and I can't draw any of my answers for that card.
Even if Albatross doesn't get a stat change, I do like the idea someone else mentioned here that the Albatross being drawn should be changed to "Cast when Drawn" like the Bombs are so you don't lose your draw but the Albatross does what it was intended to do.
Frankly, I like the 2nd option more. It does what it was made to do but it also doesn't wreck the other player with pointless draws while hurting their deck options at the same time....and, frankly, 3 mana 4/3 with an effect like that is way too good.
I rather go back to focusing on my opponent than trying to figure out how many more of those annoying Birds is still in my deck and affecting my Font of Power and Apexis Blast. I definitely is not touching Pure Paladin due to Albatross.

Lol two of these "conditions" - drawing it and playing it, aren't conditions dude. To use fireball, you need to draw it it and play it. That's just standard for any card.
Recent Reddit AMA proved Albatross needs a nerf. It simply does a little too much. It has decent stats, shuts down entire decks like highlander and pure paladin, can be played on tempo without too much penalty, kills 2 opponent draws and you can play 2.
Of course no. Pure, as well as every other paladin deck is unplayable trash, while albatros is the only thing that can at least slow down highlanders for few turns
Albatross is busted, simple as that. It's a 3 mana 4/3 which is considered excellent (not average!) stats for a vanilla 3-drop. On top of that it's a beast (which is negligible) and its Deathrattle is useful vs. ANY deck. Yes, any deck since it causes anyone to face at least two dead draws over the course of the match. Additionally, it disables beneficial key cards of specific archetypes, some of them even harder (Font of Power, Apexis Blast) than others (Zephrys the Great, Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, Reno the Relicologist, Dinotamer Brann to name a few)
If that doesn't sound OP to some of you, then I'm glad you're not responsible for the balancing in this game.
As a nerf I would like to see it going up in Mana. 4 or even 5 mana. A nerf to the stats wouldn’t be that hard.
Another cool nerf would it be, if they make the card legendary, so you can just run 1 copy and reduce the chance of drawing it. Ofc that won’t happen :D

One albatross should get a beast tag but the other albatross gets a demon tag (that one has red eyes). Problem solved.

Can honestly say that if I'm not using one of my Highlanders, idc if you play albatross. It's gonna die and I'll draw those minions quick
