Just a doubt, does anyone think Plague of Flames is a fair letter? 1 mana? In my opinion, one of the reasons why Galakrond Warlock is Top Tier 1 is because of her.
The problem is that plague of flames is actually fine...except when combined exactly with warlock galakrond. The drawback was intended to be that you lost your own stuff and card advantage with it. But the warlock invoke breaks this rule and make it overpowered.
at least more and more of those pesty DH's disappearing...
And as soon as they make sac pact both fair and finally in flavor that tune gonna change real quick. That cards is single handedly keeping that matchup tipped for the lock.
They can change whatever about dh's, but as soon as warlocks lose that bullcrap we will see where we stand.
It's not. This card is actually only good in Galakrond Warlock, since it's the only viable archetype, which can produce tokens and is willing to sacrifice them, without destroying his own strategy at the same time (unlike zoo). Yet creating tokens is not particularly easy. You have 4 invoke cards in your deck (2 copies each) and the cheapest one costs 3 mana, so in most cases you won't be able to spawn more than 2 tokens in single turn and since they are 1/1, they won't stick for long (especially against DH). In my experience, destroying 3-4 minions is usually huge success, and frequently I use PoF to kill 1 or 2 strong ones (often sacrificing my own valuable resources such as Shield of Galakrond). My advice: go wide. Bait him playing cheap trash, and leave the heaviest tools for last.
The card needs a nerf, remember Unwilling Sacrifice ? Well turns out it making it better as an aoe then cheaper with 2 mana is insanely strong and needs a nerf.

Eee, no? PoF can wipe out whole board but it's not just 1 mana AoE removal. In addition to that, you have to spend a lot of resources (minions) and in most cases it's either very hard to spawn them when you need them, either not worth it (that's why this card is not played anywhere else except Galakrond Warlock). Zoo cannot afford to bust his own board (it's almost guaranteed lose), and for control it's too slow, conditional and unreliable (it requires additional token generator like crappy Rafaam's Scheme).
I also agree that Plague of Flames needs a nerf. In wild where there are so many board clears it's still one of the best (if not the best). And it's really easy to nerf it and still be pretty good, 2 mana, but I think maybe even 3 mana would still be good enough.
Now there's someone who doesn't like to lose to aggro players... Aggressive decks are just as a part of any card game as Control and midrange. Deal with It.
It's just that they have plague of flames as a supereffective way to clear a couple of big dudes. And at the same time they have crazed netherwing, which is about the most efficient way you can clear a wide board, while developping a 5-5. And then they also have nether breath, which deals 4 damage and heals for 4, for 2 mana. Let's just give all the good removal to 1 class and give other classes basicly jack shit
PoF wasn't op before rotation. In fact Galakrondlock doesn't use any of the new cards. The only "new" addition is SacPac. So why there was no complaint about this card in the last 4-12 months?

Can you explain how a card, with such hard to meet conditions, can be considered the best board clear in the game? And if so, why it never seen play in any viable Warlock deck besides Galakrond?
I'm sure that any Warlock player would love to exchange PoF for Brawl or Mass Hysteria, since they are much more reliable and conditionless.
Well I can't say much for standard since I am wild player, but in wild you use your cheap minions like Novice to draw your combo and with just 1 mana you can use your useless board to clear huge boards, or if you are playing Cubelock it can be both clear and trigger for cards that you want to die. And if you think that the conditions are hard to meet just consider how many good cheap minions for warlock there is, Expired Merchant, Kobold Librarian, Mistress of Mixture and those are only 1 mana which you even don't need on board, plus against for example highlander decks it's really important that your Albatros dies in the same turn he was played because they can silence it or polymorph it. And again speaking for wild, only Psychic Scream can be on the same level of power as Plague and maybe Defile, but Brawl and Mass Hysteria are definately not it's level and you can ask almost every wild player and I believe they will tell you the same and I guess that you are not a wild player?
dejanx13 - No I don't play wild, but as far as I know, it was never meant to be balanced. Wild is more or less the dumpster for cards and everything that is no longer playable in standard, goes there and that's about it. I'm not saying it's good, but that's how it works atm.

The only class who needs to be nerfed is DH!!
Had to create a new profile because "something" went wrong with Hearthpwn!! Lost all my shit and they couldn't fix it they say!
Shame on you Heartpwn in these digital days!!
Oh yeah.….and FUCK Brainless Aggro

I Agree with this...This card is a problem in both standard and wild...So...

It's about the only board clear in the game that works right now - power creep has taken minions way past the old board clears and that sucks.
You can take it away if they give warlock defile back - god this game needs more cards like defile, and not just a bunch of auto-pilot shit in it.

The only reason this card is broken is because warlocks abuse the shit out of it with their token generators and all.
The issue is that it only costs one mana. Most board clears are much more expensive. Ok, you need tokens but you get them easily with Galalock.
The card always feels bad when it is played against you. And it’s not the only one, Warlock has 3 very cheap, very good removal cards right now.
Seems like DH players are getting salty. Good
