People waste so much energy comparing dicks and bullying each other for no other reason besides their own insecure selfish ego.
Instead, maybe just focus on replying OP's comment, which clearly was missing how powerful Maiev's effect can be.
Like it was already mentioned, it is a powerful card which can be used as a "silence and destroy a minion" so that you can finish the game on your favor, OR, just "remove minion from game for 2 turns" so that you can regain tempo and set up your own board and deal with the threat later.
5:really nice time playing HS once in a while, reading HS forums at the same time because the game is kinda slow...
Have a nice day aswell. I bless u
This is the worst argument that I have ever seen. So, only bad players are entitled to jobs, family and hobbies while good players don't have any of them? Great line of thinking, good job!
OMG you ΑΙΩΝΙΟΣ....!My argument clearly says that Bronze players just dont spend a lot of time playing.
socrates, probably could help you understand arguments,
Socrates is a forum meme. If you haven't been here much you wouldn't get it.
Your argument is still invalid. Some people don't need to play much more than you do to climb the ladder. Some people are just far better at hs and that is normal, just like others are much better at fps or strategy games.
Ok kid. Socrates for you is just a meme... i rest my case aguing whith that level of an opponent
in my case:
1) when i spend more time i reach better rank , simple as that. (my range is 25 - 5)
2) i have some serial Legends in my friend list that sometimes we play some friendly batlles and guess what? its 50-50 W/L
3) i countered a lot of legend card back owners .
4) so much great players out there refuse to play meta netdeck copypastas month after month
You know that you're telling with a r/iamverybadass opponent when he uses "kid" in arguments.
Is it hard to be illiterate? Socratese is a forum meme. If you had been here when the most unwanted forum member with socratese as his avatar was spewing nonsense and spamming the forum then you would have understood why Socratese avatar is a forum meme.
You beating your legend rank friend from time to time doesn't mean anything nor does beating legend card back opponents. Your arguments are as bad as your reading capabilities.
when i make a reference to ***ing Socrates while arguing, and you defend your self telling me about the forum inside joke, you just making the Socratic method shine. thank you sir.
my arguments are not countered by telling me that im bad at reading.
PS. i challenge you to play first 3 wins( only basic and classic ) you high wild legend champion!
All of this rage is unhealthy for you, you know? Maybe it would be best if you logged off and went for a walk. Relax a bit, enjoy the weather, do some of your real life hobbies that you have and calm down. Getting this mad at complete strangers online just makes you look like a very irrational and unstable person which I'm sure that you're not.
So your challenge is for me to win 3 games with bad decks? Freeze mage is the only deck that comes to mind at the moment as a deck that doesn't require anything besides classic and basic so yes, it is doable despite it being less optimal without some bettee cards but I fail to see your point. When and why did this come up all of a sudden?
Maiev in is 19% of the decks (!) and the decks she is in have a 55.7% win rate (!). Played win rate is a little bit low for now though, because I think most people think of maiev as a hard removal card. If you think maiev is bad at this point I seriously don’t know what is good.
I wonder if there can be a deck built around a 3-turn combo that starts with you playing a minion followed by Maiev on your own minion...maybe some Mage deck where you do that with Kirin Tor Tricaster getting ready for OTK 2 turns later?
As I am just a bad player, can you explain its value to me? Maybe, I can learn from the best to become less bad? Thank you kind Sir.
You clearly don't undestand the purpose of Maiev. On another comment you said why use a legendary when I have BGH or Owl. 300 IQ idea right there. Killing and silencing the enemy minion are 2 effects that we already know but are very different than making a minion dormant. When you silence a minion you eliminate its keywords, those being a deathrattle, taunt or an ongoing effect for example and also eliminate all stat changes to the original card (positive or negative) but you leave the card up, so yes you eliminate something important but there isn't a huge tempo loss for you opponent, they still keep a minion up, for this reason silence is only good if you can eliminate very powerful keywords (like when you silence a Voidlord as you remove a taunt and a deathrattle), when you are able to reduce the stats by a lot (like silencing a gigantic Edwin VanCleef) or when you have lethal and can remove a taunt to push the damage face.
Big Game Hunter is good removal but it is conditional removal and now costing 5 is not good enough to be used. It has terrible stats for costing 5, if you play this for only tempo it's terrible, having such a low health means that it's not really a good play on cruve even vs aggro decks that you know won't have a 7+ attack minion ever. BGH was really good at 3 mana cause 4/2 for 3 mana is almost vanilla stats so you could drop it on curve and be fine and it had a really solid upside against certain decks. But nowadays if you have to pay 5 mana for crappy stats and only remove one minion it's not good enough, also it has to be an specific minion.
Maiev is a very versitile card, she has ok stats for her cost and she can also make any minion go dormant for 2 turns. What does that mean? You get rid of a minion for 2 turns without activating deathrattles, you can effectively eliminate a taunt, you get rid of any minion, no matter how big it is for 2 entire turns which also negates attacks from your opponent, you don't add minions to the res priest pool, your opponent has an useless dormant minion that takes up a place on the board. Also maiev can also set friendly minions dormant which makes her useful for combo decks and while this may sound bad here's an example of how can it be good. I've been playing a Malygos Druid that uses Imprisoned Satyr as the way to discount cards like Malygos or Kael'thas Sunstrider; against slow decks you can easily develop a discounted Maly or Kael and then make it dormant with Maiev (Or use the full costed maly/kael with a discounted maiev) in order to be mana efficient cause dormant minions cannot be removed and playing your big combo piece, developing a 4/3 that makes sure your combo piece can't get removed and having your combo piece online with full mana for the next turn is 100% that just floating mana.
As I am just a bad player, can you explain its value to me? Maybe, I can learn from the best to become less bad? Thank you kind Sir.

This is why I asked, but hey, it feels good to be superior to a scrub, no? ^^
Maiev is a great minion to remove problematic minions from the board, but we all agree that Al'Ar is total garbage. 7/3 minion that doesn't have impact on board and is easy to counter, who would even play this?

Al'ar isn't as bad as he seems. It's mostly a niche card for decks that can abuse its deathrattle or copy it multiple times. There are a few decks that can use it very well. It's one of the best targets for Quest Paladin. It's also a niche alternative for Hunter decks trying to use those deathrattle synergy cards (Mok'Nathal Lion, Pack Tactics, Nine Lives). Priest also has a few deathrattle synergy cards and many copying effects. Does this mean the card is good? No, but it's not as hopeless as it looks. It's another Shu'ma: a card that looked absolutely terrible but found a home (Quest Hunter) and proved its viability as a niche card for token decks.
