To clarify before even stating my argument I'll say that I mean this from a deck building point of view, I know that Maiev and Zilliax are not similar at all based on their effects or anything of that nature.
I feel like Maiev Shadowsong will be the new Zilliax. It has decent stats (Spellbreaker saw play in many metas with the same stats and a similar but worse effect) and then the effect is pretty insane, you're putting a minion out the game for 2 entire turns, without activating deathrattles, so this develops a lortof tempo for you. It's not quite as versitile as Zilliax but I'm sure it'll see play in an insane amount of decks just like Zilliboy does now. it looks like an amazing legandary that you can put in most decks without being punished and when she comes down, her effect on board can be absolutely bonkers.
yes absolutely, she will be in everydeck but never as powerful as to nerf, she will be in every game in standard for the next 2 years and there is no doubt about it but at least she is less powerful than zilliax
In Rogue it's nuts, and while it is super useful it remains to be seen if it's Zilliax level useful. People need to slow their rig's down and wait for the data to be compiled...but it's nowhere near as good as Zilliax people.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
At first when I read "2 turns" I thought she would be OP but then I saw her being played and the 2 turns include the turn you play her. It's still better than freeze but not that much. Control decks will probably play actual removal over his temporary dormant effect, but she'll be played in a lot of tempo decks for sure.
And a nice tech against deathrattle decks I guess. Maybe control decks play Maiev after all.
It's the best neutral legendary of the set, not the best card in terms of powerlevel but very very versatile and thus will be played in almost every deck.
She absolutely will be one of if not the best card in the set on a wide scale. People underestimate what she really does, and it is actually a somewhat difficult card to assess until you see it in action.
There are just so many situations where she is going to help you out more than any other card could in that situation. Some people have been saying it's just a delay, and that you will have to deal with it later. Well here's the thing. There are going to be A LOT of situations where you could not otherwise deal with it on 4 mana, but can on 6. Furthermore, this card is a temporary "4 mana 4/3. Battlecry: Silence and destroy a minion" when you're trying to push damage. Often times it will be too late by the time the minion comes back, as you will have tempo to deal with it at that point in time that you didn't currently have.
And finally, she can double trigger dormant minions. This will actually be a very niche situation, but definitely will have its uses. She's, as some on here already stated, going to be the new Zilliax. She will be around for the next 2 years no matter what. She's simply just a huge bang for her buck.
Funny , i had the same discussion today with Viper on his twitch chat.
Technically they are hard to compare . Maiev is better when you are ahead. Zilleax is better when its even or simply as a minon on an empty board by himself.
Also if the meat becomes super aggro or full of Battlecrys like we had with Warrior, Maiev could be excluded from decks.

Doubtful. She has no tempo against wide decks, and does she cause a second trigger of minions **with** dormant? Because that's a mechanic that's too slow to use on your own minions 9/10s of your time, but 100% worse than outright removal on enemy minions.
It’s probably an auto include in most decks. It has uses in all the archetypes. You practically remove a minion from the game for two turns.
Strong in aggro decks to remove a taunt or otherwise troublesome card. Slower decks can use it to shutdown an aggro minion/board until they can heal or aoe. Combo decks can use it to setup a finisher or clear the way for a finisher.
Rogue in particular seems very frightening because of cards like shadow step or other bounce mechanics.
I think people are vastly overestimating the power level/versatility of this card. As Gentille mentioned, the "2 turn" delay is not really 2 turns, and inevitably you will have to deal with the minion you temporarily removed. I've seen videos in which Maeiv is played by pros/streamers with early access and they almost all were universally disappointed with the card. Frankly I think it's absurd that people are asserting that it will be an auto-include in every deck and that it's "one of, if not the best" cards of the expansion; zilliax was a vastly superior card, and I think virtually all of the primes are stronger. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but I don't think it's going to be a meta-definer by any stretch of the imagination.
She will be in most aggro and face decks, to bypass a taunt. I kinda wish i already jad access to her, because she would wreck ress priest so hard. Imagine ress priest gets her Khartut Defender dorment. You just bash face and win
I dont see her in control decks. You generally dont want to play a 4-3 on turn 4, just to get their 2-2 dorment for 2 turns. Would be too situational in control.
EDIT: Actually i'll revisit my statement that it will be too situational for control. It will depend on the meta. Since this also silences a minion that is buffed via spells or battlecries, this might find a home in control aswell. It doesn't silence deathrattles, except for things like Teron Gorefiend since this deathrattle is generated by a battlecry.

Perhaps. It isn't as useful. For now I could see it getting played a bit but its basically a delay.

Maybe it is a autoincluded in all the decks but it does not convince me much.

Be quiet, you! You got Hall of Famed.

[outsidethebox] There are even a couple dormant minions this might be worth playing on as friendlies.[/outsidethebox]
For 4 Mana this card is amazing value and will see play almost everywhere.

Personally I think this card is somewhat overrated. I don’t think is that great tbh.

Maive is a even cost card you foolish odd pala player
I dont know if sacrificing baku effect is worth maiev in deck :)
