Why are you guys assuming it's a bug? It makes sense that they would not announce this ahead of time, otherwise people who always keep a lot of dust (like myself) could massively abuse it (unless they go through the trouble of putting some restriction in place).
In my case I could have crafted the non-golden copy roughly 1750 times (for a total of 70.000 dust), disenchating them at 100 would have netted me 175.000 dust in return. xD
The patch isn't live on android yet btw, so if you're account hasn't logged into an updated client yet you could launch it there and still craft a ton of those cards. After you're done, you could launch it on PC and disenchant them all. (Would definitely not recommend it, as you will very likely get banned for exploiting, but I did test it on a side account for fun.)
This wouldn't work - if you already have 2 copies of a card, you aren't able to create more of them.
I can't think of a scenario where the rarity on a living roots matters though. It's oddly specific for them to change just the rarity on a card that isn't even in standard anymore.
Yeah they're not gonna punish the few people that got to take advantage of this as it's not worth tracking those people to begin with. The gain is so minor and it's not like you were able to exploit it that easily since you couldn't craft the card before the change went live with the knowledge of profit.
This guy is out of his mind or he's just having an awful day. I agree with you that if they had announced the change from Common to Epic for a wild card, people would go spend 80 dust for the two, then disenchant them for a small dust profit after the change.
Also, I don't think you were being condescending or claiming to be a 200IQ genius who belittles everyone.
I want to craft Living Roots(not have before) but it is now epic and I can not afford epic dust value. I will NOT PREORDER new expansion because Hs Team made changes secretly. If It is a bug, why not other common cards became epic and only Living Roots is epic now.

It IS a bug and confirmed as a bug. Your conspiracy theory makes less sense than the real explanation.
They didn't want everyone rushing out and enchanting it... that would have been HUGE dust profits
How exactly could you profit from enchanting Living Roots?
Seriously? If they announced they were changing it from common to Epic, before the change, everyone could have spent 280 dust crafting 2 normal and 2 golden, and then after the change dusted them for 1000 dust...
First of all golden commons cost 400 dust each, so get your info right before being a condescending prick.
Second of all Roots becoming and epic is clearly unintentional so you 200IQ reason for profiting doesn't even matter, not even blizzard is that greedy to start randonly changing rarities out of nowhere, that would literally bring a shitstorm for them. So the only way you can realistically profit is dust the card now, get 200 dust and then craft it again when they're like 'oh we fucked up this card when we patched the game, here's a small patch to fix this' and then you re-craft it once it is common again.
Oops my bad... That's brutal... I thought it was 100 (clearly)... I was assuming crafting golden versions cost the same as a normal of the next highest rarity (like Epics)... Never crafted golden cards before, because it seems dumb, as I don't spend all that much $$.
Still... tens of thousands of people crafting 2 regulars for 80, and disenchanting for 200 would still be lots of dust in total... Dust =$$$ to them. 120 dust is 3 less packs potentially sold for every person.
You're saying this like they literally didn't just change the rarity without announcing it... I really doubt it was an accident.
Just wanted to come back to this post to make you feel stupid once more and to see if you answer this now that you know that it was obviosly an unintended bug, nice conspiracy theory you had there tho.
This ridiculous conspirancy theories on Hearthpwn are always hilarious. They never end up being true or are never proved. I can't understand why people are so obsessed with crazy stuff like this. Just because notable shitty things happen on this world from time to time, doesn't mean it's really full of it, but I guess only a few here can understand that.

We assume it's a bug because there is zero reason to do it intentionally. It makes no actual sense.

That's Epic
i approve of this insanity !

punish people for disenchanting? that would make people angry...

I edited my OP, Cora did say it was an oversight and it not supposed to happen.
