Is this what I think it is? An objectively bad demon hunter card? I can't believe it!
It's not objectively bad though. It is 8 face damage for 8 mana.
So it's King Krush for 1 less mana but you don't get the 8/8. 8/8s are pretty good man, and King Krush isn't even good except when cheated out. I'm pretty sure this is just bad. Demon Hunter has much more efficient burn like Metamorphosis.
Metamorphosis last turn. Kael'thas, + twin slice > second slice > inner demon, twice, and you have a 7 mana 25 damage combo tho.
Edit: or even ignore metamorphosis and go kayn instead to do 23 damage to face for 10 mana that can't be stopped by taunts.

This being a basic card we can probably rest assured that Demon Hunter is never going to get a weapon with Windfury.
Doesn't look so bad with Lifesteal (if you have already equipped Aldrachi Warblades).
Exactly this. On paper this looks terrible, but with life steal or their 2 mana: deal damage to 3 random enemy minions equal to your hero's attack card.
So 10 mana, deal 8 damage to 3 random enemy minions, and give your hero +8 attack this turn that potentially has lifesteal. I actually think this card is being slept on.
Another point is this is EXTEREMELY good with Kael Thas, and demon hunter got a perfect card to combine with kael with the twin slice card.
You can actually go Kael: twin twin-this---twin twin---this. That's 20 attack in 5 cards. It's a 20 damage 5 card combo. I don't think it's outlandish to expect that DH will have you at 20 or less by turn 6, and they also have a lot of card draw to get there.
Kael'thas + 2x Twin slice + 2x inner deamon = 5 cards 20 damage

I think this card is fine, the effect is boring but it's a basic card. And it has some fun combos.
Boring card, but I can see it winning games.
Note that most of the weapons revealed have good synergy with this. Still pretty meh, maybe a one of
Warglaives of Azzinoth
Not exactly Windfury (you can't attack face two times with it), but still counts. :(
To me, it's like Pyroblast. While it can't bypass taunt, it can interact with weapons.
And like Pyroblast, I'm sure it will have its moments.
