I've made a thread like this before I think, but with the rotation of The Year of the Raven approaching, I want to ask everyone this question. Hopefully there is someone from Blizzard who secretly glances at these threads every now and again, because I can not stress this enough. There is no reason for Whizbang the Wonderful to rotate. In fact, I could even argue there is a strong reason he should not rotate. Whizbang only offers Standard decks, which means next to nothing in Wild. This card is an excellent way for new, budget players to get into the ranked ladder (from 20-15), and it does not affect the meta whatsoever. What does the community think? Should this card rotate?
no, i dont think it makes sense to rotate him. the decks are fun, and some are even strong, but with such a huge pool of different decks you cant ladder with him.
Why move it to Classic, when you can release a new one every other year? There's no money in that. Blizzard would lose a lot of money every year just from keeping Whizbang around. You can't have cards stay around forever, that allow you to play decent decks without buying any packs. /s
I can imagine Whizbang becoming part of Classic as it would make a lot of sense, but I have not much confidence in Blizzard (or Team5 for that matter) to do the sensible thing. I mean, the question has been around pretty much since the card was released, and they have not commented on it at all in nearly 2 years. If they indeed add it to the Classic set, it would be a pleasant surprise.
Then again, the dozen or so filler cards that were added to Classic last year suggest that they want to keep the number of cards in Classic constant, so they would also need to remove a legendary; probably Leeroy or Alex.
Whizbang is entirely designed around Standard and its philosphy: it's always different, it focuses on new cards, and it helps people to get into the game and try things out. His flavor text could be the New Year Blogpost:
"In order to keep Hearthstone exciting and accessible as more cards are added, Standard allows players to use the most recently released cards, as well as a core of Basic and Classic cards. Our intention with Standard is to keep the game feeling fresh for all of our players, and to allow newer players to jump into Hearthstone quickly, without the need to collect lots of cards to build a competitive deck."
He is THE Standard format card, and makes no sense outside of it.
It should become part of the Classic, if not the Basic set, but Blizzard is Blizzard. We can only hope.

that means IMO, that actually whizbang can make money for blizzard, while always there are 2-3 decks that you love playing with from his pool and others just feel ok to play or it is fun, but also some are boring or just not fit your style, so for some people i can imagine that it is actually a push to spend the saved dust or buy some packs to craft an excact deck whizbang have successfully promoted. Which is a secondary way helping blizzard make money. Making HS ''noobfiendly'' means also making more money . It is so perfectly desinged,18 deck pool is to large for to long for most of the players.

This Idea has been brought up ever since they revealed him. The only thing we can do now is wait...
It could be a basic legendaryit could be the basic legendary
no, unless they make recipe decks for it in wild which would be a lot of work but very cool
Google search: Is Hearthstone free to play?
no
I would like to see Whizbang in the classic set.
I'l be lazy and just quote myself from another thread:
