this was a pain in the ass to make, and i realize i only listed legendaries cuz who knows how long it would take to look through 2000+ cards to and the metas they were in to figure that shit out

Thank you very much for taking your time, help me to make some thematic decks for San Valentin.
I’ll put a few edits in here for you, not taking anything out:
nax: Undertaker was the most meta defining card of the expansion pre nerf
GvG: Dr. Boom was the most played card of the expansion, and really became the most recognized and played card, as it was in almost every deck at the time.
gadgetzan: Patches the Pirate was maybe the most played card of not only that expansion, but I’d be willing to bet it’s played rate made him a top 5 most played card the entire time he was in rotation as pre nerf patches had charge, and made any 1 drop pirate the best one drop in the game Jade Idol also was a card that vastly changed hearthstone as we knew it. Never fatigue and infinite Jade generation forced almost every real control deck from the meta(making pirates even better).
I don’t think you could write the history of HS without those 4 cards, and I bet a lot of people would rate all 4 in their top 10 most hated (or loved) cards of all time.
very good additions, it is pretty tough to remember how the meta was back then, most of my listed cards are a bit biased towards their use in today's meta.
also in the first 2 expansions the meta was heavily comprised of basic and classic cards like sylvanas, ragnaros, and other epic and rare cards that got hall of famed.
Miracle rogue is probably the greatest example of how it made good use of basic and classic cards such as gadgetzan auctioneer, edwin, leeroy, throughout many years and many meta shifts it stood resiliant for a long time.
I'm curious to know which cards were good depending on your meta in that expansion.
It also counts before a new expansion came out
Saw a video of this in youtube:

ok here we go:
nax Loatheb
gvg Mal'Ganis
brm Emperor Thaurissan
tgm is a tough one but at the time i think control warrior was a big thing so ima go with Justicar Trueheart
LoL is either Brann Bronzebeard or Reno Jackson
WotOG is probably C'Thun since cthun decks or so popular before N'Zoth, the Corruptor started getting some good deathrattles
karazhan is Barnes
gadgetzan is Kazakus or Aya Blackpaw
ungoro had a shitton of meta breaking cards of which are Sunkeeper Tarim, Open the Waygate, Lyra the Sunshard, The Caverns Below are probably the most notable
knights... *inhales* Bloodreaver Gul'dan , The Lich King , Deathstalker Rexxar , Malfurion the Pestilent , Prince Keleseth, Shadowreaper Anduin , Frost Lich Jaina , Hadronox were all in top tier decks throughout the year of the mammoth
kobolds had Rin, the First Disciple, and Zola the Gorgon ,Kathrena Winterwisp , and Skull of the Man'ari which gave birth to a deck id rather not be reminded of
witchwood had Hagatha the Witch , Houndmaster Shaw , Shudderwock , and Lord Godfrey
boomsday had Zilliax
rumble had Zul'jin , and Shirvallah, the Tiger
RoS had Barista Lynchen , Kalecgos , and Archmage Vargoth
uldum had Zephrys the Great , Dinotamer Brann , and Siamat
dragons has Dragonqueen Alexstrasza , Kronx Dragonhoof and the galakronds.
this was a pain in the ass to make, and i realize i only listed legendaries cuz who knows how long it would take to look through 2000+ cards to and the metas they were in to figure that shit out

>.< that meta was so trash
The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!
#FireMikeDonais
In addition to those lists were given, here is my list with non legendary cards:
Mad Scientist, Mechwarper, Flamewaker, Grim Patron, Mysterious Challenger, Tunnel Trogg, 4 mana 7/7, Corridor Creeper
Classic (without any exp) is still hunting my dream. Cairne Bloodhoof, Sylvanas Windrunner Ragnaros the Firelord, Ysera were basicly in every deck.
