I don't even think highlander rogue would run this. What would they take out? Dragon's Hoard?
The change to get an extra Zeph or Alex will make the cut for this card and the cost reduction make a lot of cards better, like old Alex can be played with eviscerate + strike in the same turn.
Even a 5/5 dragon draw a card in turn 3 is not bad at all, rogue don't have much to do in turn 2 than hero power anyway.
Dragon hoard is too highrolly to cut, like zentimo is huge for rogue
Zentimo, the warlock legendary turning all lackeys in 4/4, all class highlander cards, etc...
The card is so good in highlander builds maybe rogue is the most powerful highlander class, because shadowstep Zephyr get what you need right now and have him for 0 manas in your hand is a play hard to compete, maybe Brann in curve is the closest.
Why do people always ignore the power of the discount?
Playing a big minion and/or a powerful battlecry 2 turns early can be a HUGE deal.
No one is ignoring the discount we all know how busted and frustrating it can be but the discount is not what matter in this particular one, there is a lot of mediocre battlecry minions you can get from that spell, that's why you dont put it in your deck on purpose.
There's around 210 battlecries in standard. The odds of getting either zeph or alex is ~3%. You dont run a card so it can be good 3 in 100 games. Battlecry minions on average are very weak.
Yes, Primordial Glyph was really good but it had a much better pool and a lot more synergies. The pool was also much smaller so the odds of getting what you needed was very high. There's just too many mediocre minions and tech cards in the pool for waxmancy to be good.
Good idea, but way too random. There are plenty of mediocre outcomes. Dragon's Hoard is good because you're guaranteed a legendary and a card form another class. You're unlikely to not get something good - many legendaries are not supposed to be available to rogue, so you can highroll often ;) And it also triggers burgle synergies.
