So does this mean that all four explorers aren’t getting hero cards?
There're 5 legendary cards in the set. 4 hero classes and this (which works primarily with E.V.I.L. classes)
I think this might actually enable some sort of bizarre Galakrond priest tempo deck. Lackeys are generally pretty decent in priest, and with a generating tool like this it might actually be worth it.

I have made two follow up posts in this thread about where they said 4 of the 35 cards will be legendaries.

Why would you assume such a thing? This is an E.V.I.L. reward. It has nothing to do with the rewards from the Explorer path.
I was assuming this because the fact sheet for this adventure said that they will be releasing 35 cards, with four of them being legendaries. If Reno is one (Mage), and this is two (Neutral), that leaves two legendaries left to be split amongst Druid, Hunter, Paladin, and possibly Neutral again.
I almost make a deck with lackeys and Glinda but the lackey generators for warlock is kinda clunky for a control build and Glinda is the too much expensive type of card to build around, this is faaaaaaaaaaaaar better.
Rogues, shamans and warlocks will make a good use of this, even quest shaman can return to the scene again.
I am aware that is a fan site. Did you bother to read the information on it, though? The information on there was taken from https://blizzard.gamespress.com/Hearthstone which is an official website.
Yup don't think we're gonna see hero cards for each explorer. Was a great idea... but just a fan idea. Though, I am looking forward to putting Reno Hero in my Hydra(Highlander Dragon) Mage :) I just hope we don't get fair to meh cards but rather get at least 1 more awesome legendary and/or a couple of cards that create a whole new deck archetype... but I am aware the holidays are over
I'm just not seeing it. Yes there is an obvious fit with Dark Pharaoh Tekahn, but will that deck be any good? You have to Draw Tekahn or the deck is trash. But my biggest issue is with how slow it is. Its a value card for lackeys; which are tempo cards. Its a measly 4 mana 2/3 (weak) and to really get the value out of it you would need to play it on turn 7 or later. I'm sorry but by turn 7 I want do do more than play a 2/3 and 3 1/1s that give me small temp bumps or some random spells/dragons. I'm probably wrong but I don't think this card is that good. If it was a 3/5 maybe, but then its still slow- I just don't see it being worth the value.
What you have to realize is the reason for its insanity is you need only play one 1 mana card and this card generates 6+ cards. And you call the lackeys "measely," but they be great effects and generate great tempo gain.
This is not being overhyped imo, it's going to be very strong. It needs only a single lackey to get going and then you're just doing lots and lots of stuff while generating a ton of value.
This is almost like gadgetzan on 4 mana that generates far more tempo. The only downside is, as some have stated, is that 4 classes pretty much can't play this. The heroes better get some big love.
Edit: Also, imagine rogue going into turn 10 with this and spirit of the shark loaded. If you think that turn ain't gonna be crazy, you crazy.
The problem is you have to have a lot of mana for this card to be any good. It's just not as crazy as people make it out to be.
Exactly... this only good as a late/mid game card. In fact it is horrible in a tempo mid-range deck. And thats important b/c thats where Rogue lives. At best, in the early/mid game its a conditional 1-2 lackey generating 2/3 soft taunt? So this is a late game card, i.e. it doesn't fit in aggro decks and it is a bit tricky in any tempo or midrange deck. Yes the late game possibilities for reload are amazing but what late game card in those classes are you gonna sub out to put this in? Thats my issue. Its not anywhere near auto include for Lackey classes... its playable to bad.

Thank you!
I will never apologize for being skeptical. Cite official sources directly, and we won't have to go through this.
(Also, it's pretty shady of Blizzard to omit this info from the official page.)

I really don't get how people think this card is gonna be actually good, not saying it's thrash but the hype will die after 3-4 days at most.
You have to invest 4 mana to get a 2/3 that has absolutely 0 impact on board, and yes, it has to be removed but removing a 2/3 is never a problem so this means you can never drop this on curve or for tempo being realistic so you have to keep this card in your hand and then also save one lackey to start the chain and your absolute best giga pay off play is getting 6 1/1s on board that have some decent effects? Seems shitty.
This is getting to like Troggzor levels of hyped and people don't realize it isn't that good, it's good you can generate multiple cards of it but it's simply too expensive, lackeys are mostly tempo oriented (The only value oriented is draconic) and having to wait to play and then getting a 2/3 and a bunch of 1/1s is complete ass, lackeys won't bring you back into the game and to make it even worse they are just RANDOM lackeys, so you can't even know if they'll do anything at all. This card will only see play in Warlock if anything, it has nice synergy with thekan and can generate disgusting board but other than that it does nothing for any other class. Warrior doesn't have enough lackey generation, rogue doesn't need more lackeys (In a lot of games all the lackeys from invokes can clog your hand a lot), then shaman could use it in like quest decks but definitely doubt it, priest is dead lol and Warrior definitely won't go out of its way to generate a bunch of lackeys with a tempo destroyer like this.
The stats don't matter. The effect does. You can play Magic Carpet and this. That means ALL of your Lackeys will have RUSH and you will generate MORE lackeys with RUSH. It means you can CLEAR an opponents board easily or remove problem minions.
It also means you CANNOT get the board back from Rogue or Warlock or Shaman again. They WILL NOT run out of resources. Control decks cannot be viable if your mid range and aggro decks never run out of cards. That means we will see an influx of Combo decks to ignore what your opponent is doing.
They can gain infinite value, but as a combo deck you don't care. Control decks cannot deal with infinite value.
This card is a mistake. This is far more powerful than people realize. And when that Rogue, Warlock or Shaman deck is spamming Lackeys you are going to hate it or love it, if you are one of these classes.
I believe Rogue and Warlock will use this best, but Battlecry Quest Shaman could also abuse this too.
The only limitation is the mana cost, but you don't care if this gives you immediate value.
I can see warlock playing this, maybe quest shaman, although I don't think it's obvious in either case - but I can't see why you would think this will be good (much less great) in any of the current rogue builds...
Hand size is already a frequent challenge due to Galakrond and Tog. Generating "endless" lackeys is, well, not.
Protecting your health against aggro is a weakness of rogue, due to lack of survival tools. Generating insane value is already a strength.
It's an understated minion that's only effective at 6-7 mana. It's limited by a finite board and hand size. You can dream up scenarios where this works, sure, but that's true of most legendaries. Someone mentioned Troggzor, which seems fitting in my opinion.
I’m not sure if this is a great card or not, but the endless lackey thing has already gotten old. Too bad it will be 2 years before it gets rotated out. Nothing like your opponent going to the time limit every turn with half a dozen lackeys....
I personally find it clunky. Its a decent reload if you hit the spell and dragon lackeys but altogether it looks like a subpar turn no matter when you play it. Magic Carpet and History Buff would be great but its too much to cast in one turn.
Just what we need more lackey bullshit
yeah for 10 mana and with 1 lackey in hand you can already fill the board with this and 6 lackeys so this combo doesn't really cut it for me.

The official site is here and does not mention how many legendary cards you can earn.

It is also not mentioned on the store page for the pre-order.

probably not as good as it looks but if you get like 2 lackeys its worth the investment

A good card.
As a Rogue main, I love this card!!! :D :D :D
Lackeys are awesome, dude. ;)
