I've been playing a lot highlander Rogue lately, and since the deck struggles mainly vs aggro, looking for possible solutions I decided to TRY Perdition's Blade. I have to say, the card is great. Even without the combo you can kill 2 small minions or a 3 health guy. It perfectly fits the highlander build and it's a great tempo play, I would say more than SI:7, because without the coin your only chance to use it's effect so early in the game is backstab.
I always liked the card since Wow TCG (where it was more OP, it only costed 2).
That's it, I just wanted to share my "wisdom" and hear your thoughts about it.
IMO it's weaker than Necrium Blade even in a non-DR build... the difference between 2 and 3 attack is just too impactful. Although I can see it being somewhat useful against precisely Zoo, but then again I would rather have SI:7 Agents against those (a 3/3 minion on curve being better than a 2/2 weapon with 1 dmg, if combo is not activated).
Still, it's good to be experimenting and sharing opinions on cards that are played more sparingly!
I suspect this card is indeed underrated. It is situationally better than a 3 mana 3/2 so it may be a meta call. It also bypasses taunt.
Why is it be situationally better than a 3 mana 3/2 weapon? It deals less or an equal amount of damage over two turns - and while you get more of the damage up front, it means you can't kill a 3-health minion on the following turn. And 3 health is a pretty vital break point in the early game. I think you need Livewire Lance-like effects for a two attack weapon to be viable. Still, I can't say for sure unless it sees enough play for the data to be apparent.
And if you care about bypassing taunt, wouldn't you just rather have a weapon that deals more damage? It's not like that one or two extra hit points is going be the difference in races very often.

Situationally better means better in certain situations.

My bad, only excuse is that English is a second language... I was literally thinking it meant the opposite when I wrote that reply :p
I agree with OP, consider that Rogue struggles healing, and dealing 2 damage on a 3 or 4 Attack Minion saves you that facedamage. At the same time you can take out another token / lackey
