The meta game isn't even dominated by aggro. Face Hunter made ONE appearance in the meta, the literal first time its been relevant since like, 2016, and that was only because Rogue and Shaman were top of the meta.
Other than that, Aggro hasn't really been a thing. Stop trying to take tools away from it, we don't need another snorefest meta where the only viable decks are greedy decks making infinite value while having enough Taunts/AOEs to curb stomp aggro while getting there, like the Deathknight metas. Hearthstone panders heavily towards Value/Control decks as is and has been for a long time. Aggro hardly gets anything nowadays, it doesn't need what few things it has, taken away.
Top 5 winrate in Blizzards Meta update includes Aggro hunter. What are you even talking about dude....
I’d say the Bloodmage Thalnos had it’s time of glory and deserves to be put in hall of fame. Also it’s easy autoinclude in decks if you need a 2 drop and have at least one damaging spell.
I doubt they’ll move Mountain Giant after printing cards for hand lock.
Leeroy Jenkins is a great finisher and not the main problem in Aggro decks but since it has charge and blizzard seems to hate charge it looks like he might leave us in the next year.
And there are no competitive decks using Malygos for OTK atm so I hope they will leave him be. He’s strong when you get him from Dragonqueen Alexstrasza and play him on the next turn.
Bloodmage Thalnos is a great low cost legendary that's really quite fair, I wouldn't want to see it go.
Any card with charge that's 5 mana or less is kind of a problem. Either these cards should be nerfed to be higher cost, but higher impact, or they should be HoFed. Especially Leeroy.
Inner Fire's a pretty good card, but Divine Spirit is a big, big problem. I think Divine Spirit should be changed or HoFed. Not necessarily nerfed, but being able to Divine Spirit on top of a Divine Spirit is an issue.
There're other cards like Mountain Giant and especially Sea Giant which have just been in the game forever. I'd LIKE to see them cycle them out just to introduce new cards and new strategies. But that doesn't mean they're a problem.
Alexstrasza and Malygos I think are fine. OTK decks with Malygos are kind of a weird beast, but often times Malygos doesn't necessarily create the problem himself.
It was a mistake for the designer to give he original classic card rotation a name, it makes it sound like it's some special category that needs to be fulfilled every year. In reality, if something is really "such a problem" or truly "has to go", they can just nerf it. I'm sure they'll fulfill the desires of the designated whiners and knock a couple out, but there hasn't been decent reasoning for any rotation at all. I especially love the idea that doing damage and winning sometimes goes against the Priest healing identity, haha. "Just plain broken", which is why priest just keeps dominating the meta with those Inner Fire decks, lol.
They used to do this. (i.e. Molten Giant) Then people complained they were "removing decks", so they just started moving the cards to Wild instead. I think in some cases a card is just toxic, badly designed and shouldn't be in the game and nerfing or changing it would be better, and the basic set being a low-impact set is okay (not Radiance low-impact, but like nerfed Wild Growth low-impact).
Savage roar is where it's at for me. With all the ways druid is able to generate a big board, you just can't keep up with that unless you are some kind of super control shaman, eventually a priest. And both of these classes suck ass right now. Maybe I just hate token druid.
Van Queef needs to be a 2/1 minion. One less health would help make him manageable. Sometimes you can *almost* take him out elegantly but he's onr health higher making him too much of a bargain at 3 mana
I partly agree, I think Leeroy Jenkins could be a candidate this year, Blizzard seems to not like a)burst for all classes and b)cards that are in all decks of a certain archetype (ik some face hunter lists dont include him, but still), Leeroy is both of that so maybe it's time to say goodbye. Another danger is Dinotamer Brann, it doesn't see much play, but as long as Jepetto Joybuzz is in the game, Brann is very dangerous.
Apart from that, I don't think there is anything really, Stonetusk Boar is no threat, combo is dead since Un'Goro rotated. If they really wanted to kill control off for good, Archivist Elysiana and Plague of Death is the way
Dinotamer Bran doesn't see much play? Uhh it's in every hunter highlander list which are high tier meta decks. Lol
Its not about strong cards or anything, its about a fresh meta. And I think the only cards which requires HoFing are the ones which will not be rotated.
Anyway;
Leeroy Jenkins : Every aggro deck has this card. It is an evergreen finisher. I don't hate the card, I think it is okay as it has only one role, but enough is enough, no?
Alexstrasza : This queen of dragons is like Leeroy Jenkins for control decks. You need healing, a big minion, a dragon, a combo enabler, she is there. I think card has a nice design, has a cool art, but as long as she is there, she will always be a strong contender for a late game option.
Malygos : This one is different. I know he is not meta atm, but when he is, he is quite oppressive. So, either HoF or a nerf, but nerfing might be a hit to iconic +5 spell damage. Basically, HoF him so he is not an option anymore.
Mountain Giant : Great design in general. But it is not refreshing to see this big boned buddy every time there is a deck with large hand size.
So these are my candidates. I think these 4 cards should be HoFed at some point, either all together, or part by part.
Leeroy for sure. For the past few years Blizzard is all but eliminating charge as a mechanic and with all the handbuffing/deck buffing going on, it is just a matter of time before it's HoF'd.
Malygos and leeroy Jenkins can fuck off. The fact that rogue can fight for board and otk you, playing two Leroy's in one turn is complete nonsense, same with malygos to a certain extent. Uninteractive cards ruin the experience
Firstly, I think all Classic cards should remain in the Classic set, but each Season a set amount can be rotated out to keep the Classic set intact, but the meta fresh. However, since that won't happen, here are my thoughts.
I'm kind of sick of Divine Spirit / Inner Fire decks. So I'd like to see either 1 or both go.
I think Secretkeeper had her time to shine, but when played on turn 1 is almost as bad as a pre-nerfed Undertaker. I would have NO heartburn seeing her go!
I think it's completely pointless to discuss the possibility of any of the OG dragon aspects being HoFed as long as the current Welcome Bundle exists. Not only would it annoy those who purchased it to collect the last missing aspect, it would certainly piss off newbies who got their hands on a brand new Alex or Ysera (and thus, steer them away from HS)

Don't joke. The core set is far from being banned.
Classic cards as Leeroy jenkins, Inner fire, Mountain Giant, Sorcerer apprentice and Malygos are in Danger every year.
We'll see how many of these will say goodbay this time.

I've got my fingers crossed for Kill Command and Fireball.

Hi my dood.
Hunter is OP
Here is why:
Leeroy Jenkins, the neutral card
Its not about strong cards or anything, its about a fresh meta. And I think the only cards which requires HoFing are the ones which will not be rotated.

Cards I wouldn't mind seeing HoF'd because I'm tired of them, not because they necessarily should be HoF'd.
- Mountain & Sea Giant
- Divine Spirit / Inner Fire
- Alexstraza / Malygos
- Leeroy Jenkins
Card that should absolutely be HoF'd: Edwin VanCleef
Malygos and leeroy Jenkins can fuck off. The fact that rogue can fight for board and otk you, playing two Leroy's in one turn is complete nonsense, same with malygos to a certain extent. Uninteractive cards ruin the experience

Leroy could us a nerf or HoF. Aggro would be fine. He is in way too many decks.
Shadow step could use a nerf or HoF too. It is super powerful.
Alexstrasza seems like a good candidate
I think it's completely pointless to discuss the possibility of any of the OG dragon aspects being HoFed as long as the current Welcome Bundle exists. Some charge cards need a HoF treatment IMO.
Double Leeroy Jenkins warrior or hunter with Leeroy Jenkins followed up by Dinotamer Brann is just not right.
I also think Alexstrasza needs to go. Wait wait wait wait Alexstrasza + heavy dmg spell = game over.
Leeroy Jenkins, Edwin VanCleef
There is no way a legendary class wiil be hall of famed
