This is a fantastic card. I have no idea why people would be complaining about it. It is a guaranteed 3 damage to the enemy and it gives you a 2/1 on turn 1. If a druid attacks it, for instance, you've already traded 1 mana for their 2 mana and them taking 4 damage. That's a pretty good trade. 3 damage means nothing -- priest has pretty much no turn 2, so you'll just spend that turn healing.
This reminds me of all those times versus aggro hunters and zoolocks... when I thought: I REALLY wish I could've had 3 less health and dealt 3 damage to him, right now!
Bwahahahahaa... Sorry. I could not resist.
It's a class card, with Leper Gnome's stats and ability, but with Flame Imp's drawback.
3 attacks: Leper Gnome: Deathrattle synergy, 2/1, 2 damage to opponent --> If it attacks thrice, it has dealt 8 damage when killed. Flame Imp: Demon synergy, 3/2, 3 damage to yourself --> If it attacks thrice, it has dealt 9 damage and 3 to yourself when killed This: No synergy: 3 damage to yourself and to the opponent --> If it attacks thrice, it has dealt 9 damage and 3 to yourself when killed
Certainly it can be healed. Turn 1 with coin: Shadowbomber + Power Word: Shield. Now you've got a 2/3 for 2 mana that deals 3 damage to enemy hero and draws you a card.
They should alter Velen's effect to make it include minion abilities as well. That would make him alot more playable imo. Including synergy with this, you could drop Velen+farseer turn 10 for a 6 heal. Or, if auchenai was on the board it would make farseer like a 3 mana fireball with a 3/3 body which is insane.
Velen and shadowform don't look very aggro for me, Velen just costs too much and shadowform is more midrange-ish, losing tempo as an aggro is very very very bad.
Also even with auchenais, zombie chow doesn't seem good if you want to kill your opp asap. Often you won't play that auchenai fast enough and he will justheal for 5
He never said it was possible to make a good aggro deck... (;

I've played aggro priest, and tried to make it work since early closed beta. I even tried it in naxx, but there wasn't enough enablers. It's pretty weird to play. You don't end up killing your opponent really fast. It usually always goes into the later turns. It just doesn't have all the pieces to function like zoo for example. So you need to improvise. That being said, I don't think I'm going to be able to use all of my mana every turn (seriously, look at that curve). Because of that shadowform is really good in this deck. Not only can I more efficiently use my mana, but if I run out of steam I can just pop shadowform and start hitting the face. 2 damage to the face is so much better than healing for 2 every turn since that is the entire point of an aggro deck. That is also why I have velen in the deck. This deck is pretty much going to turn 7+ in most cases, and having a 10 damage combo with mind blast can mean the game.
The auchenais are really good in this deck. Sometimes I'll be able to combo it with the zombie chow for 5 damage. If not it's still a 2 damage ping to the face. The zombie chows are in there for tempo purposes, and like you said losing tempo is a bad thing. They are the best 1 drops in the deck since they are very strong, especially when coupled with the undertaker. Also like I said, I'm going to go into turns 7+ with this deck. So 5 potential damage lost isn't the end of the world compared to the tempo they gave me earlier on (chances are that I gained more than 5 damage from the tempo lead). No other 1 drop in the game can fill this role for this deck alone.
I'm not saying this will be a good deck because I don't know how it will play out. I'm just saying that, based on past experiences, I feel like those cards need to be in this deck. Also I was trying to fit a circle and a blademaster or two in for tempo reasons, but I decided against it because I needed more consistency.
This combos fantastically well with holy nova and holy fire. I can't tell you how many times I've wasted the face heal playing against control. This is a nice one-off. It's good on turn 1 too, so you can just heal on turn 2.
Unfortunately, I'm fairly sure undertaker isn't going away. We have our clerics on turn 1 as well, so this is an unwelcome addition. Interesting nonetheless.
So if you know that you will often have to play longer games, why not make this deck more midrange oriented?
Because then it wouldn't be yolo aggro. I want to make aggro priest work (and I also want to make this card work), not midranged. I'm also not sure if this deck going into the later turns is a bad thing. If it's consistent then it wouldn't matter in my eyes. The only problem is that I have no idea how consistent it is because it's lacking a bit of draw.
Just because it does not have a home yet does not mean its not good. Warlocks would lose their collective minds if this was for them, and as the game opens up more and more you'll probably see this guys stock go up. I do like the idea of an over the top Priest burn deck though.

You could try to fit circle here, allows to heal after trades, card draw with cleric and when needed, you can play it as a circle of killing with auchenai
Yeah. I was trying to add circle and the blademasters, but I couldn't really find a way. That and it's pretty ineffective with all my minions being at such low health.

This: No synergy: 3 damage to yourself and to the opponent --> If it attacks thrice, it has dealt 9 damage and 3 to yourself when killed
2 attacks:
Leper Gnome: 6 damage dealt
Flame Imp: 6 damage dealt + 3 to yourself
This: 7 damage dealt + 3 to yourself
It's obviously pushing aggro priest:
2x Shadowbomber
2x Leper Gnome
But... it can't be healed, and priests can't draw cards at will, like the Warlock.

Well, atm this is pretty bad. If some kind of aggro priest ever becomes a thing, this will most likely be a star in it.
Favorite class: keeping all 9 of them equal in level.
I have made an aggro priest deck with this card. It has 14 one mana cost cards, but 2 of those are power word shields. I might need more draw.
He never said it was possible to make a good aggro deck... (;
I refuse to come up with a creative signature.

Honestly, this card would be pretty good in priest aggro.
But lol, priest aggro.

This card makes me wanna build an Aggro Priest ^_^
May the Ki be with you...
