I mean having no Neutrals is a strong commitment given that most Neutrals are insane right now. I hate the fact that other classes got more Dragon support but Paladins keep getting garbage non-sense...
And still Blizzard refuses to give Paladin any aoe.... Its becoming almost ridiculous at this point.
Why do you think it needs more than Consecration (plus all the board-wide debuffs)?
All classes should not have access to all strategies. That's kind of the point of classes.
Cause Priest keeps getting them and damn it... Consecration keeps clogging my 4-slot like Bob did to the gym toilet back in 10th grade. Bob, I don't know if you're out there or if you remember, but I do...

Thats why Rouge is atm the best Control class with Nzoth, Hunter was good at healing with DK Rexxar etc. And thats also why Druids or Shamans are bad at... what actually? They have probably the best Healing ,aoe, removal atm.
Of course Paladin is famous for putting out a bunch of Wheenes , buffing them , and so on. But looking at the core set , most stuff is Defensive oriented . The secrets , protect you and your minions , Tirion , Truesilver, healing, debuffs etc. And to make a Control style work Paladin has Consecration ( and Equallity as kind of a combo aoe). Not less than Shaman. Its clearly something that comes to mind when thinking about Paladin . They fight fair.
So what speaks against giving Paladin aoe ( its been a while since we got this Enter the Coliseum in 2k15..), and enabling a more Control oriented playstyle, while other classes get so much good aoe , that they cant even use them all ( Shaman,Priest )??
Better than the other card because at least you know what you are going to get. Still not sure its worth hard committing for the effect, but if you err on the tutorable smaller guys, you could see this being played somehow
If this deck works this is an insane card. Paladins have run just truesilver by itself in the past due to how good it is. Getting a free minion with it is great.
A free 4/2 minion for basically playing Truesilver Champion, which you could have 2 of in your deck along with 2 of these, giving you potentially 4 Truesilvers with up to 32 damage/healing if all 8 attacks are taken and do damage.
This kind of mechanic is great, but it's not supported enough right now.
I am not a fan of the design concept of "throwing in" 1-2 random cards like this in the midst of an already clear theme for this expansion (dragons).
They did this with freeze shaman, and it led to nowhere and rotated out. I love the idea of of this, but it should've have been in an expansion where the majority of the paladins cards could've been dedicated to it rather than two.
It is worth noting that you can technically build your deck with some neutrals and still play this as long as you've drawn them all. But paladin doesn't seem to be the class that could reliably pull that off.

Pretty good value on its own, but time will tell if there will be a viable non-neutral Paladin deck entering the Meta.

I like this "pure paladin" concept and this could be a very strong card, but there are some broken neutrals now so its probably not worth it.

Pretty much an obvious wingman for Lightforged Crusader.

Meta-defining for this too, because it will define a deck and I think that deck will be a thing.
