I think I underestimated this card a little bit, was looking at how you can get the most value out of this given the state of the meta but that's a bad way of looking at this card, it's versatile there are many situations you'll find yourself in where this card will do something impactful. The fact that whatever you do comes with an 8/8 attached makes almost any play the opponent makes worth playing this.
Copying opponent's Galakrond play is pretty nutty.

I don't think you're alone. People were trying to imagine the most unlikely but absolute optimal outcome and assumed it would be bad because it's probably never going to happen. However, people seemed to neglect other situations where the card just shines because of the insane value it generates.
I mean, imagine a turn where your opponent just plays Zilliax. That's all they play, Zilliax. You can play Murozond the Infinite and BAM, now you have an 8 mana 8/8 Battlecry: Summon Zilliax. That's pretty damn good. Is it amazing? Probably not. But, it's far from being 'bad' or 'unplayable'. It's just a solid turn. That kind of flexibility easily makes this card meta-worthy. And let's be real, that's probably the least amount of value you can ever expect. Often times, you're gonna get more out of it.
That's just my take. I believe a lot of people underestimate this card. As always though, I could be wrong and I could be the one overestimating the card's ability. Can't wait to try him out.

I don't think you are. It's really good. I just don't think it's as crazy as some thought. Like I'd put it at a 9/10 but a few others were putting it at 11/10. You seem to be in the former camp, which makes the card really good.
Im pretty sure many people thought this isnt THAT strong, even i didnt think it will be very op, but playable. Welp, every time i've seen it played, it did so much that i think this card is pretty busted, this will be played a lot in Priest.
Well at first I also thought this was bad. But in Standard it is undeniably strong.
But I come from the Wild Format and in Wild this is still not good enough.
Usually this will copy your opponents minions, but it is no N'zoth or Bloodreaver Gul'dan.
It has no real Synergy with any card, it is just a power card.
Maybe it is played because most other high cost Dragons are even worse.
Like, they are all high value cards, but they don't win you games like N'zoth, Shudderwock or Bloodreaver Gul'dan.
Well I think therein lies the issue. I believe it's intrinsically different from the cards you listed. All three of those are win conditions, this card isn't. It's a late game tempo play. At least on average that is what it is. So it's not really fair to compare them in that light. I think it's why so many people underestimated it.

It is such a huge tempo play that it could definitely be a win condition. Maybe it's not a Bloodreaver Gul'dan or modern N'zoth, but it's going to put you way ahead in any instance where your opponent is playing for value or building up a board.
So will it copy cards like Zul'JIn/Galakrond? I can see huge potential in that. Playing a Zul'Jin in a control resurrect priest would be so incredibly satisfying.
If your opponent spams the board, you DO NOT play this the next turn. Not only does your minions not have rush or charge, you will simply die or get favorable trades taken against you.
Instead, this is a very powerful and patient card. Like the 8 drop Kel'thuzad. You do not play Kel'thuzad on an empty board and you don't play it if your opponent floods the board.
This is a very skill testing card and timing based. Being able to copy any hero card your opponent plays is very powerful. This allows Priest to essentially play with multiple Galakrond cards.
I think this will be a staple in both dragon and non-dragon Priest decks.
Extrem strong...
Seems pretty good, cant wait to play with it.
Potential for jank combos is damn high

Easy addition to every priest deck. Incredibly strong card.

Can be used with Togwaggle to permanently swap decks.

This card requires some skill/ intelligence to be used properly. But it can be very strong.
