At it's absolute best it's a 3 mana "Deal 11 damage randomly across all minions." In a deck that already has decent clearing, this just isn't good enough. Even if you have spell damage, because the minion granting it is a potential target too.

I dont know what you rank 25 guys one. This is just a 3 mana removal card . Warlock need early removal and this card is more than good enough if you tap turn 2.
Unbelievable... the comparison to spreading madness is so wrong I can’t even grasp it. There is a HUGE difference in how reliable this card is vs that card. If you play this right, you will kill what you want to kill with it 100% of the time.
It’s also can’t be compared to hellfire. Does hellfire kill two four health minions?
it just needs 1 more good, low cost spell damage card to be competitive. seems thalnos is the only one right now. and a low cost warlock class card that did spell damage +2 could be printed more aggressively because of how few burn spells there are in the class.
Solid card and will see play. With spell power like Thalnos, the initial damage is 2, then it replicates across the board to the rest like that. This should retain the 2 damage per card even if Thalnos dies first because the effect happens all at once. I could be wrong and if it doesnt, then this is not as good.
But that means turn 5, this and Thalnos gets you a board clear AND a card draw for 2 cards. This is VERY similar to Volcano, except this can kill minions you cannot normally target and can get those pesky 4 health minions as well.
Late game, this is not as good if you can't maintain your hand size. But that new Legendary that draws 4 cards means that Dark Skies will always be relevant.
Like Defile except you get to control how much damage based on your hand size. You can't always control the health of your opponent's minions with Defile. And Defile often required 2 card combos too.
Hand lock seems like a legit deck with this card, the new healing card and the new draw 4 legendary.
I think you're right about the spell damage. In videos I've seen, all the damage happens at once. This means it doesn't kill off reborn or divine shield units. Thalnos would make this a solid board clear even in late game.

Damn, I was hoping this would be a Meteor esque card for Warlock but it's just a conditionalSpreading Madness. What a let down.
Too bad it doesn't cost 2 or 4... still decent, I guess. Spreading Madness would have been good, if it was restricted to minions.

Remember even as a handlock, there is a good chance that you will have a minion even on early turns like a watcher, a silenced doomsayer etc...
