This is a hunter weapon for 2 reasons, first, hunters are getting the gryph cards, and grhyp riders use electric hammers to attack this could be one of them, and, is literally a REXXAR basic ability back in warcraft 3
So yes, its a hunter weapon. Could be a sahman one aswell, yes it could, but hunter isn't a mis fit, even less when the first real hunter had it.
Giving specific classes, including hunters, a reliable way to deal 5 damage per turn in the midgame distorts the meta to really fast decks and really controlling decks (remember Pirate Warrior). Stop it
Sincerely,
Everybody who wants a diverse meta
Dear Blizzard,
Giving specific classes, including hunters, trash cards that don't work well with them, especially due to the lack of specific support, doesn't affect the meta at all. Please stop it.

Gryphon riders who use electric hammers are exclusively dwarves from the Wildhammer clan.

I guess this is the part where we forget that Eaglehorn Bow is in the classic set?

You sound like these guys who wouldn't believe Spell hunter could be a thing because hunter was all about "minions" but they forgot spells can actually summon minions.
That's not how it works. Dragons will be good in hunter if they print good dragon cards for hunters, that's just it, there isn't any specific thing about the dragon tag that makes it bad with hunter.
Stormhammer and Corrosive Breath are literally the specific support for dragons in hunter decks, how can you complain about the lack of specific support in this very thread is beyond me.
This is not 2014 anymore where every class is dedicated to 1 role and hunter was the aggro/smorc dude.
Why do a lot of people keep saying this won't work because dragons don't work with hunter?
This entire expansion is dedicated to giving dragons that work to every class.
true, i would let them pass if they tell me than even with the new dragons a dragon hunter archtype seems weak, beucause is too slow, other clases outvalue them etc etc etc., but most of the arguments are "hunter has only 2 dragons, and thos are bad, and no neutral dragons that works with them, so this that works with dagons is a thrash card" which is a terrible argument.
The effect is very powerful, but Hunter doesn't have that much Dragon synergies, at least for a tempo/aggro/midrange deck. Thus - this card is just good, it will be 3/3 weapon most often, I guess.

Seems like the EternalHS, king of morality and big ego get completely destroyed by simple facts.
What the hell.... HUNTERS DON’T USE HAMMERS. Only Paladins and Shamans do, and Hunters can in NO WAY CONTROL THE ELEMENTS, especially LIGHTNING. This should be a SHAMAN card, period. I’m so pissed off about this.... uggggghhhh.
And then you woke up and realized you were playing Hearthstone, not WoW.
I mean, if heroes can dual class in HS, it's safe to assume all bets are off.
(But yeah, dollars to donuts this was originally designed as a Shaman weapon and then got moved because it's mechanically more like a Hunter card.)
the flavor of cards is designed after the mechanics are made, this is a hunter card because brann is the hunter rep and he brought the gryphon riders to the dragonblight. This is their weapon.
Arguably a better Eaglehorn Bow (since you won't sit on Secrets your opponet doesn't trigger), this is a very good card if you can make it work. Along with Corrosive Breath, this gives you a strong reason to try out a Midrange Dragon Hunter.
On the other hand, old Mirange Hunter is not looking too good anymore, and Dragon Hunter would (likely) give up on Kill Command and early minion synergy. It might need a bit more neutral support to really take off, but I think the potential is there.
Eaglehorn Bow is gonna be less viable anyway once the secret support gets rotated out and you can't use it for easy deck thinning anymore, which was one of the best reason to use the secret package.

Rogue was the only class that had "infinite" weapons now has a competitor
Realistically this is more balanced than those of Rogue

And it turns out, this expansion is printing good dragons and insane dragon support cards. Hunter don't lack dragon support anymore. Stormhammer, Veranus, Corrosive Breath, Primordial Explorer Dragonqueen Alexstrasza Frizz Kindleroost Alexstrasza How are these cards bad specifically for hunter? You don't see the core of a deck right here?

sweet lord iit can go face with hunter heropower ?
a "Stormhammer" that randomly goes to Hunter instead Shaman. Blizzard please stop you're drunk.

People only see Standard. Then go after on forums and complain about Blizz giving a fuck about Wild.

Shaman weapon
Do not lose durability while you control an elemental.... DAMN. You fail Blizzard!!!
Thanks God to not exists a 2 manas 0/6 dragon with stealth. \o/

This is a fine replacement
Might be playable if Dragon Hunter is a thing. Very underwhelming for an epic.
