Very interesting with freezing cards like Frost Nova. If there's ever a reason to play 4 doomsayers in a deck.
Also op, could you please let the moderators make the threads about new cards. It's kinda annoying to see you everyday trying to outspeed the moderators for whatever reason and make threads that look different than the moderator threads, getting half of your threads locked and clogging the card discussion forum.
The question is : does this kill itself when you start your next turn ? If this actually sticks around, its potentially way better than Doomsayer. /edit nvm a buff is required, still viable in some ctrl decks that require stalling
If It survive can be better thn doomsayer imo, doomsayer only triggers once and dies, and this guy needs to be killed. Its hard to make It live long but he cant be ignored. Also as a control deck is a nice turn 1 drop. I like It!
Credit where credit is due: this is "new"... in a control deck, if you curve this on 1, and Doomsayer on 2 (or 3, if you can wait), that will really piss off aggro decks.

Or the new Paladin sidequest and this...
Tbh I like the art on this card. But I actually don’t think it will see much play. Most cards so far have been crazy midrange or lategame cards, and considering most Dragon based decks or existing tier 1 decks are midrange or combo I doubt we need such a super early anti aggro card, but who knows..
Yeah, this is an awesome stall card for druid and OTK decks... 2x Depth Charge and 2x Doomsayer = 4 turns your opponent either cant play cards, or deals with the clear...
I don't think mage needs other 2 (worse) doomsayers, however some sort of OTK priest may very well make good use of this, especially in wild, where cards like Velen's Chosen exist: having a minion that swipes the board multiple turns, starts with a good health you can buff for OTK, and that being Priest you can heal from it own damage is very strong, especially coupled with taunt cards like Deathlord that you are already running in such a deck.

My Wild Cutlass Thief, a rogue deck focused on Spectral Cutlass. Just reached #176 Legend with a 62% win rate from rank 5.
In reality, Doomsayer rarely deals more than 10 damage per minion.
So most of the time, this will be at least half as good for half the price.
And if you buff it with a Power Word: Shield, it can go off twice, so just as you can squeeze more than 10 damage out of Doomsayer, there are ways to squeeze more than 5 out of this.

I find it interesting that people are blanketly stating that it's a 'worse' Doomsayer as if it can be compared directly. There's several aspects that are better and several that are worse. Having 2 less health is worse and dealing 5 damage instead of straight up destroying everything is situational but arguably worse in a vacuum. However, 1 mana is simply better. Being able to trigger multiple times on consecutive turns (if buffed) is better, at which point the argument could be made that the 5 damage aoe is better. There's several aspects to Depth Charge that need to be taken into account when considering it's power and I don't think it can be objectively viewed as strictly better or worse than Doomsayer.
Now, everyone saying that it's just a bad Doomsayer may actually be right overall. However, I can think of several situations where this would be the better card. I mean, Turn 1 without the coin, this card is straight up superior. I highly doubt that will be the only instance where this card outshines Doomsayer.
doomsayer doenst see enough play, i cant see this card changing anything really, doomsayer just does it better, wanna slow down a aggro deck ? doomsayer is better as it kills their turn 1 and 2, nova doomsayer is more reliable clear against more boards. the only way this is played is in a anti aggro control deck that want 2 extra worse doomsayer. The 1 cost doesnt do enough as playing this turn 1 burns 1 turn only, and play this turn 2 is way riskier and not a good use of mana.

This can also theoretically go off multiple times, should it wind up buffed.
I'm with you, not Coldshot. It' comparable, but different enough that it's worth testing.
To easy to remove for 5 health. Triggers at start of turn. No reason to play this over Doomsayer.

Did anyone already compared it to Doomsayer?
Great anti aggro or freeze mage option. I think this might at least see experimenting if not serious play... good.

This minion can't kill itself if have more than 5 hp - then this at start of next turn deal 5 dmg but not will die.

Probably will be run in reno decks that use Doomsayer since this is essentially a second Doomsayer, albeit with a downscaled effect.

Not a bad tech card to counter particularly fast metas. We haven't seen a lot of control decks lately, this might help create a bit more variety.
I love art but in removal it is worse, Doomsayer is still better but the advantage of this card is that it can take many turns cleaning
Seems slightly redic
worst case it is 5 health for 1 mana.
