I don't know... Dragon Soul was never really played for a good reason, and turning it into a minion certainly isn't making it more attractive, even though the class is different.
Then again, with spells like Ray of Frost and Magic Trick, it's not entirely unreasonable either. If Cyclone Mage was in a better spot than it is currently, I'd say it's worth including, either allowing you to have a big cyclone turn to fill your hand, or fill your board with 5/5s, or in the best case do both. Unfortunately, the big upside of Mana Cyclone was that it could be played after Elemental Evocation, while this has to be played BEFORE you start chaining spells, making it much more difficult to use. Also, Cyclone is already good after 3 or 4 spells, while this should at least summon one, preferably 2 5/5s to give you enough of an advantage, and 6 spells is quite a lot. Sorcerer's Apprentice can help, but you'll need enough mana for it.
The stats are fair, so it might actually survive a turn if you play it on 3. But again, it obviously goes into Cyclone Mage, which is not very good right now. The quest was no help so far either.
I'd say this is a "maybe" card. Not terrible, it has a bit of potential, but I'm not very optimistic about it.
Its a bit funny to call this mediocre to weak compared to the other cards revealed so far, but it kind of is. The power creep is disgusting. Already multiple ways to deal with that kind of board with 1 card each.
This has potential in wild, especially if people get their way and secret mage gets nerfed(One of the biggest counters to quest cyclone mage right now).

I don't see why you believe that to be true. If you play one spell before this and two after, you have still played three spells in a turn.
In fact, I strongly suspect Elemental Evocation synergy is a big part of their reason for making this an Elemental.
I could be mistaken, but doesn't Dragon Soul also only count spells that were played after it? It has a little counter on it that starts out blank when you play it, regardless of how many spells you used that turn already, and I strongly assume it will be the same here, considering that the card text is the same (aside from summoning elementals instead of dragons). How would it make sense if it counted spells while it's still on hand? Wouldn't it seem a bit weird if you could play 3 (or 6) spells, then summon this and suddenly have 1 or 2 elementals on the board?
I can try out Dragon Soul again if you insist, but I expect the card to only count spells while it is in play. I'd be happy if I was wrong and it indeed behaves as you say.

Dragon Soul. But, in mage!
Dragonsoul 2.0
I think it depends on how powerful Cyclone-mage is
Nice new win condition for Cyclone Mage. If Cyclone Mage is good, this card will definitely be in it.
I disenchanted dragon soul. Will this meet the same fate.
This is super good
Basically is Dragon Soul but in minion
This is worse because you need to be on board and if you want to take advantage of it in several turns, it will not survive.
Not as exciting as other legendaries and possibly bad.
Tempo matters here! A 3/5 body os pretty good! It Will probably survive when player on curve
This can be evocationed out.. people are forgetting that

Maybe? The comparison to Dragon Soul is natural, but Mage has better spells than Priest ever has.

We need a 0 cost twinspell in this expansion...

Guess who's back, back again
Cyclone Mage is back, tell a friend
This with the side quest just dumps so many stats
